Well, GGGGGgrandpa Rich was oppressed by his dad for a while so ‘technically’ I might ;)

Of course the fact that my branch may or may not completely line up with RTL’s branch might mean I’m really just a regular serf descendant like everyone else.

But since in Obamerica, a white woman can be an indian princess, dammit, I can be descended from kings!...WITH slave blood too!!! Because i ‘FEEL’ good about that!;)

I tell you, genes and ancestry can be fascinating stuff. My paternal line traces back to an ancient Scottish border clan. On my paternal grandmother’s line, I’m related to a Confederate General, a union Captain, and John Jay Crittenden, US Attorney General. One of his forebears fought in the American Revolution.

I’ve got Native American blood on both sides. About five different tribes that I’m aware of. As to the African blood, some were slaves, but surprisingly (to me), others were freemen. No one knows what tribes they hailed from in Africa.

So, don’t be surprised if one day you run up on a red skinned black guy sporting a cowboy hat and a Scottish clan badge tattoo. That’d be me.
