In the first year or so after Katrina, it seemed like every shooting was either by a NO person or between 2 NO people. I haven’t heard about any of them lately I really thought they were all dead or had gone back home.
I just read in the Houston Chronicle about this incident. The officer opened the drivers side door and the driver put the car in reverse and started backing up. The driver was not shot, the dead woman was a passenger, I am guessing in the front passenger seat. There had already been an altercation at the front door where the officer tried to stop the 3 women and the woman who was shot hit the officer. That is when he followed them out into the parking lot and he grabbed the drivers side door.
BTW, at the end of the year two of those cops got national awards for meritorious service ~ the third cop didn't ~ he was, as we all guessed, a very bad cop indeed ~ he bought a pistol for a convicted felon
