Rand Paul is right. Vote "present" and let the American people get what a majority of them voted for.

The sooner America becomes like Greece the better, and blaming the other party won't matter.

Just as I proposed:

Liberal Onslaught Empowered By Republican Timidity

Thursday, November 29, 2012 1:28:16 PM · 10 of 17
Uncle Miltie to NKP_Vet

Put up a bill that repeals all the Bush Tax Cuts. Have all the Republicans vote against it.

Put up a bill that makes all the Bush Tax Cuts Permanent. Have all the Republicans vote fore it.

Put up a bill that repeals the Bush Tax Cuts on the top 50% of taxpayers. Have all the Republicans abstain.

Put up a bill that repeals the Bush Tax Cuts on the top 25% of taxpayers. Have all the Republican abstain.

Keep going until a bill passes that is the maximum tax increase the Democrats pass by a majority of DEMOCRATS.

Then, any and all Tax Increases are Democrats’ fault.

I increasingly agree. The public is never going to turn on Hussein and his Democratic party while they can keep blaming Republicans. The public WANTS to like Obama. That is the real problem.

GOP used to have a line about “tax and spend” but now with Boner as leader its more like bend over and grin.

This is wrong.
It plays politics with our country and its economy. CongressCritters should vote for what’s right and what’s best for America, not just what’s best for their political aspirations or calculations. Sending America over the cliff because you think it might benefit you politically is unacceptable “representation” of the public.

And besides, the voters will see through it. Any CongressCritter who fails to vote against further tax increases at this critical juncture will get my NO vote in the next election. (Raising taxes even higher when we so desperately need a substantial tax cut is a prescription for economic disaster...). Enabling the Dems to destroy the country is not my idea of what should be in the Republican party platform.

Call me cynical, but I don’t believe there exists a way that the Gopers can play this that the media and the LIV’s won’t blame them for the disastrous consequences.

I heard a women, after the last credit downgrade, blamed the Tea Party for hindering the raising of the debt ceiling. You could tell she was black and a blind 0bama supporter, but this is what we are dealing with.

Cult of personality and we never hold them accountable, instead we run around shrieking about the cult leader, but if his cultees felt the sting his cult would shrink.

If Republicans are going to get the blame no matter what they do, then they should put a bill up to make the Bush era tax breaks permenant.

Now let the Democrats tell America why the middle class should not have a tax break.

Yes that is good. Where is their bill to make all cuts permanent? I would have thought they would have already done that but if not shame on them.

Bonier is an idiot to fight as hard as he already has. The American people by a huge margin want to “Tax The Rich”.

Also the wealthy elites voted for Obama. Really if they want to be bled dry why should it be the Repubs job to defend them?

Just like Irag some folks don’t want or deserve defending.

Forward Comrades!!

I agree, maybe something has changed but the Ds used to be desperate to get GOP fig leafs for everything and call it bipartisian. Let me be honest these tax hikes are straight at the government class in the blue states, in principal they are wrong but for sheer spite its almost satisfying.

The Kenyan was elected because he is a magic cult of personality type who somehow is going to save everyone’s racket on the left, magically.

The media will always blame the Right. All negative things are the fault of the Right.

Tax (revenue) bills have to originate in the House of Representatives.

The American people have voted a majority Republican delegation to the House.

Why can’t the Republicans in the House just vote out a substantial tax cut??? (which the American economy desperately needs if it is ever to reverse its downwards plunge...)

Then let the Dems (in the Senate and White House) do with it what they will....? (I bet the American public will bring so much political heat to them that Senator Reid INCREASES the tax cut! But even if that doesn’t occur, why can’t the Republicans in the House just vote out a responsible tax cut and let her fly... and we’ll see what “compromise” finally results... That’s how the Congress is supposed to work, after all. ...)

This is so wrong.

Rand Paul is placing the importance of political theater above the country.

And this is a poorly calculated gamble. It assumes that the press will be objective. It assumes that the North Dakota oil and gas boom won’t do anything. It assumes that Obama won’t manufacture a war.

Finally, by rolling over and letting the democrats have their way will change the GOP from the stupid party to the Seinfeld party...the party that’s about nothing.

I got a better idea: how about Rand Paul and the other idiots pull their heads out of the butts and start FIGHTING for something?

Instead of surrendering, rolling over and dying for the liberal doggie biscuit, why don’t you a$$hole$ in Congress grow a pair and stand for something?

NO NEW TAXES - for ANYONE!

The only chance this has of working is if the Repubs collectively get on this message and stay on it!

Once the repercussions start the media and the Dems will blame the Right for anything that will stick. They will do everything in their power to make people forget that the Repubs "gave in" and "went along with" the Dems plan.

The Repubs need a plan for what to say and do when the SHTF besides just standing around saying "I told you so".

Boehner should give 0bama a 24 hour ultimatum to get serious. When it expires and 0joker does nothing close the House session and force all the Reps to go home.
