Quite possibly so, his arrogance has no bounds.

Since automatic 7% annual increases are built into the federal budget, any “cuts” to the budget would have to be more than 7% per year to achieve a net reduction in spending. A reduction in the rate of growth is not a cut.

In DC speak, only increasing spending x% after proposing a y% increase is a “cut”.

Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974
Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985
Budget Enforcement Act of 1990
Balanced Budget Act of 1997.

How many MORE “Acts” need to be legislated so that we actually have a Balanced Budget? The really sad part is that after the HUGE TARP bill, the Stimulus bill and Obama’s budgets, if you only talk about cutting hundreds of billions, you are now talking about chump change.

Have you noticed that the media doesn’t even dare to utter the word “default”?

Or when the word is mentioned, it is preceded by the word “disastrous” or “cataclysmic.”

The reason why default is never mentioned as a possibility by the Socialist media, is because default will destroy U.S. gubmint credit, making it impossible for gubmint to borrow. (Maybe) It would force balanced budgets for a generation?

Socialists prefer inflation, which is disguised taxation, or even austerity. But a Keynesian’s worst nightmare is a government unable to borrow money.

>> I do truly believe Obama is insane.

What will it say about Boner when Boner rushes to comply with the megalomaniac’s wish?

He and Pelosi and Reid and.... are all nuts/insane. He doesn’t really have to make good on his threat to veto his own bill because it’s so bad Reid won’t even let it come up for a vote because most of the Dims in the Senate may be rabid liberals, but won’t vote for it.
