Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said that extending long-term unemployment benefits would be the best stimulus there is for the economy, saying it would create the most jobs for the money.
Schumer and fellow Senate Democrats called for yet another extension of benefits for the long-term unemployed before the current benefit extension expires at the end of the year.

“So why doesnt Schumer do his patriotic duty, help stimulate the economy by going on unemployment benefits himself?”
Judging from his level of “productivity”, he has been on unemployment benefits for a long, long time.
Extended federal unemployment insurance ending
CHICAGO — The Illinois Department of Employment Security says a federal program that provided unemployment insurance beyond the state’s initial 25-week coverage will expire Dec. 29.
