This is terrible news
NOOOOO!!!!
I’m not sure how to take this news.
whoa - wha?
He will be greatly missed.
Does he feel that he can be more of a factor at Heritage, or is he just tired of battling in the Senate?
Congrats to Senator Tim Scott (R)
Noooooooo! We need him!
He may be more effective at Heritage than he could be in the Senate. And it opens up a slot for a new young senator. How about Trey Gowdy?
Either way I just hope the republicans have their act together come 2014 because the SEIU is going to put boots on the ground in Carolina to capture those seats.
Erik Eriksson is in for Neal Boortz
Erik said Jim will be on Rush today...
Very sad to see him go, however, he must have a very strong candidate to take his place in mind, along with Governor Haley. I hope this move comes as a prep for a WH plan. We’ll have to see.
It’s terrible news to us not to have his representation in the Senate, but he’s probably seeing greater impact value of heading an organization like the Heritage Foundation than having to deal with the likes of Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid on a regular basis.
Any thoughts on Nikki Haley appointing herself?
If not how about Tim Scott.
I shall miss Jim, he was the spine of the Senate.
I’d say that Nikki Haley might appoint herself, but most South Carolinians probably think that at least one of the state’s senators should be a male.
I guess elections really are useless. We elect conservatives only to have the likes of Boehner pull them from any position of power. Now the remaining conservatives just leave.
See tagline.....
Why didn’t they take Grahamnesty instead? That would get him out of the Senate and they could fire him a week later. The severance would be worth every penny. We could even take up a collection.
crap.
What about Senate Conservative Fund???????
This is terrible. Can’t say I blame him, as one man can only take so much, but this is terrible news.
I can tell conservatives from my perspective is that, Im not only comfortable with Romney, Im excited about the possibility of him possibly being our nominee, DeMint said. Again, this is not a formal endorsement and I do not intend to do that right now but I just think we just need to look at where we are.
