Socialism and communism never work. They are backwards on THE LAW OF EFFECT. THE LAW OF EFFECT shows us that generally you receive more of the behavior that you reward and less of the behavior that you punish. If you punish those who work hard by taking more of their money to give to those who aren’t working, then people will not work hard. If you reward those who don’t work, then you will have more people who don’t work.
Socialism and communism are lies. People who want money and power, and can’t get it quick enough for their tastes in their present culture, then start yammering about redistributing wealth. In each and every case, if they get that power and money, they just become dictators. And the people suffer.
Every rational and ethical person is against socialism. The elites lack ethics and the lower classes lack education.
It fails as an economic system. It also fails as a politcal system as well (as least as far as human rights are concerned). In order for there to be socialism, a socialistic discipline must be enforced. Those who dissent must be jailed, reprogrammed or eliminated altogether. There can be no dissent under socialism. The only option that people living under socialism can exercise is to escape from the system. The millions who escaped from socialistic systems (or died trying) over the last century are testament to what ‘positive image’ people who have to live under socialism actually have.
