You must live in an impenatrable home. Those weapons are useless to you as defensive weapons.
I raised 5 in a house with a loaded gun in almost every room including garage. They were taught early on to respect them. They never once touched them without permission. We spent hours in the pasture learning to respect and use them. It is entirely the parents’ responsiblity. Keeping them empty achieves nothing.
I agree that it is the parents responsibility. I grew up in a house with guns and they were not loaded and didn’t need to be until we were going to go shoot them.
I am curious how you explain to a one year old not to touch a gun....loaded or otherwise.
