At a Business Roundtable meeting today, President Obama warned Republicans to not use the debt ceiling as leverage in talks over spending cuts or entitlement cuts. Obama told business leaders they "should not accept going through" that "game" which would be a "catastrophe" for the country.

"That is a bad strategy for America, it's a bad strategy for your businesses and it's not a game that I will play," Obama said.

"I will not play that game, because we've got to break that habit before it starts," Obama later added.

Impeachment should not off the table. He would not be removed from office by the senate. But that should not stop impeachment. However we have mostly RINOs in the house so I agree it is not likely to happen.

No he doesn't play games, he makes certain those scumbag 'mericans will pay for their colonial ideals, the capitalistic peegs. The slow coup and purges continue. He'd make any Bolshevik proud, make the propaganda for Sudetenland happy as a Kraut church mouse in 1939 Czechoslovakia. Merry Christmas you socialist ___hole!

In other words, the GOP should play the game to the hilt. Obama’s just revealed where he thinks he is weakest.

Debt is not a game for adults, it is a game for children. Adults have learned to delay gratification for future rewards

And this is exactly it. If we had proper leadership on our side, they'd be calling Obama out on this.

"It's time the President grew up and started behaving like an adult. He's already worried about spending trillions of dollars we don't have. Well, it's not going to happen. Either he begins to act like a leader, or we corral him up while he's busy acting childish and bring this whole government to a screatching halt. We need leadership; no weaklings. Call us when you get serious. We haven't had a budget in 4-years because of your failures."

Alas, that's not exactly John Boener material, is it?

Sadly, the seeds of a second American civil war have been planted and could very well sprout.

I think you're correct. It would be SO easy to beat this guy, if Boehn-head would even try to fight. Start with defunding his vacations.

The GOP doesn’t want to defeat Obama now nor in the future.

I have finally taken the rose colored glasses off...

This fiscal cliff is all one big stage show for the paying masses. They see us as complete idiots who will continue to pony up the money for them and theirs.

All they have to do is keep the 3 ring circus going.

I’m done believing any of this crap from either side.

If you watch these bozo politicians with the perspective that they are actors, you will see reality. It is worse than watching one of those bad Mexican soap operas. Bad actors with a joke of a script.

This is all a joke and I’m tired of being the punch line.

There is no fight, no budget negotiation crisis.

The Republicans in the House need do nothing. The debt ceiling will be reached at some presently unknown minute of some presently unknown hour of some presently unknown day and it will be over. There will then be a new game. The old game is over. Obama lost.

The fact he made the statement is realization of his vulnerability.

I wonder if not having a budget for 4 years has set any precedent?

It’s not a game, Barry.

Better to shut this government down and have you and Michelle take up residence in a boarding house, then to have the government operating at all anymore under your leadership.

And the House has that power, Barry...if they will only develop the guts and fortitude to do so.

Fight on! Never give up
