Darden Restaurants Inc. wont be looking as good as expected next week when the restaurant company is set to release its second-quarter earnings, it said Tuesday.
The Olive Garden, Red Lobster and LongHorn Steakhouse parent lowered its profit and revenue projections for the quarter ended Nov. 25, blaming sour promotions in its eateries, Superstorm Sandy, its purchase of the Yard House USA chain and even its efforts to mitigate the coming costs of healthcare reform, also known as "Obamacare."

CEO = Chief Excuse Officer
Must be a typographical error. They didn’t mention George W. Bush.
This probably didn’t help either.

When I found out the CEO was an Obamugabe boot licker, we quit going to Red Lobster.
We had quit going to Olive Garden years ago—but still frequented RL.
Not anymore.
Nice to see the company suffering—hopefully it’ll create a “wake up” call to the Obamugabe fans running the place.
Lips that touch liberalism, shall never touch mine.
Olive Garden is horrid but then again I’m married to a great Italian cook. Red Lobster is good if you don’t live in New England because the rest of the country has no clue how to actually cook seafood. Longhorn Steakhouse is simply awesome. Love ‘em but that was before I discovered a local restaurant that dry ages their steaks for 21 days.
According to this website http://newsmeat.com/fec/bystate_detail.php?st=FL&last=Otis&first=Clarence Otis, the CEO of Olive Garden has given substantially to Democrats...a few dozen, and to one solitary single Republican. I won´t be going to either Lobster City or Olive Gardens. Can´t afford any of my money ending up in political coffers of the party that has destroyed the economy of America.
We went to olive garden three weeks ago. It was pleasant. I was surprised they didn’t cut portions like everyone claimed. We still had our normal meal the next day that we have been doing for years. There is so much information out there that is not accurate like olive garden was cutting portion size because Michelle Obama asked then too. I guess I should have known she probably hasn’t dined at Olive garden since 2008 at least.
We used to go to Olive Garden. The place is a bit over priced, considering virtually everything they serve can be gotten from the frozen section at the grocery store at equal quality for a much lesser price.
Darden’s CEO Clarence Otis being a Bronco Bama suck-up has taken a page from the fuhrer’s playbook: blame as many others as you can for your failure.
Bama’s failure is deliberate, however, he deliberately wounds and tries to kill America!
We stopped going to Olive Garbage over two decades ago.
I don’t eat at any Darden owned restaurant and I don’t buy Progressive
Insurance. I don’t shop at JC Penneys either. To hell with Obama loving
companies.
I quit going to any Darden property when they started tip “sharing” i.e., confiscating tips and spreading them around to the back shop employees so they could get away with paying them less than minimum wage at the expense of the servers and bartenders. I worked for tips when I was younger so that rubbed me the wrong way.
That, and I can cook better than they serve. Salt and MSG should not be a substitute for skill.
I ditched Progessive a few months back. New company costs a little more but ya gotta put your money where your mouth is. Now with Liberty Mutual.
They still give money to libs (wish they wouldn’t) but out give to the republicans 2 to 1.
It’s the customers damn fault!
The two things I like at Olive Garden are the big bowls of salad and the Tuscan Steak which is very good. The pasta offerings are ordinary.
LOL... You’ll find my response on the link under Rustynails113.
I can no longer help but make a joke out of all of this racist garbage.
Hmmmm, didn’t know Olive Garden had a Obamadork butt-licker CEO.
They are now on my :f*rt in the general direction” list.
From the replies, I’ve also added Red Lobster.
I will support no business that supports the Quota Baby Dork.
I quit going to Red Lobster for the same reason. Oh well, we eat lots of FRESH caught seafood at home.
Night before last we had Coho salmon that my wife caught. It was put in the freezer about 6 weeks ago, so it was not quite as excellent as it is the day it’s caught, but still excellent. ;>)
