In 5 minutes this video sums up what it's all about.
Watch the fantasic Sen. James Risch of the great state of Idao fry the SBA and the Obama adminstration's tax proposal - with one simple question followed by hummanna hummanna hummanna. Followed by Mary Landrieu barfing up communist spew to try to recover from the logical hit the administration took with that question.
Action is from 1:24:50 to 1:30:00.
But if you're into small business, the whole video is worth a background listen (and watch of the freaky characters).
The SBA is a complete waste and needs to be replaced by a VALID FREE ENTERPRISE SYSTEM OF CAPITAL FORMATION that is not designed (as the current one is) to shut out non-wealthy people and keep them non-wealthy, while making monopolistic easy money for fat cats.
I'll be writing down some basic thoughts on this soon, but that's another story.
For this video:
Be warned, as always, keep your barf bag and styrofoam brick handy. After all, the hearing is:
"The Senate Small Business & Entrepreneurship Committee holds a hearing on job creation and economy. The committee is examining the Success Act, a bill that provides tax incentives for small businesses, programs geared towards Small Business Administration (SBA), and other legislative proposals to strengthen the entrepreneurial community and grow the economy."
Mind you, the SBA guy responding does have small business experience; as government guys go, he's got a much better resume, I'm sure, than most, for being in tune with small business.
But ONLY Democrats, RINOs, assorted leftists, liberals and bureaucrats could say, in a hearing on camera that a billion-dollar Federal agency is TINY.
Mary Landrieu YOU HATE SMALL BUSINESS AND YOU ARE A DELUDED LIBERAL SOCIALIST WHO KNOWS WHAT. You do NOT want Americans to have OPPORTUNITY.

STOP SCARING MY CUSTOMERS WITH THE THREAT OF TAX HIKES AND REGULATIONS, SO THEY WILL START SPENDING AGAIN!!!!
You won't see it in any of the lying government statistics, but retail sales activity in our (pretty high net worth) area is down about 40% over last year.
Nothing is more important to small business than a government that knows how to stay out of the way - unfortunately, we took a huge step in the wrong direction on November 6th. There doesn't need to be an SBA at all - it's another front for the banksters with their sleazy SBA loans and for the Left's racial spoils system. Eliminate it and shrink the IRS by about 90% and you will solve most of small business's problems.
Did a rant yesterday thought u might want to see :

Mary Landrieu YOU HATE SMALL BUSINESS
We will make every effort to rid you of this elitist, generational, socialist witch politician in 2014. She is already politicing on TV. The mere sight of her turns my stomach. You should have seen her during Katrina - talk about a deer in headlights. She and Blanco were a complete waste and everytime they came on TV, David Vitter was made to stand in the back. Those two witches together couldn’t come up with a healthy brain cell!
LOL I love it.
I gotta step out.
I’m gonna read that later, that’s great.
It could be me but the link doesn’t work
Since all taxes imposed are passed down to the consumer, also ask the question: “What will be the eventual effect on prices at the consumer level?”
Not holding my breath for any answers from Sen. Landrieu’s committee. Just more blah, blah, blah.
, according to landrieu, small business was doing much better before the Bush tax cuts.
She is a straight line liberal democrat. If her mouth is moving, she is lying.
That was a good rant yesterday. I’ll have to wait until someone writes this one down to enjoy it....
Good post; good post; good rant.
535 people (some who have proven themselves to be not the sharpest tacks in the box) telling 330 million of us what we can and can’t do because they know better than us what is good.
It is time we started doing what we know is good and find a way to get rid of them.
