House Speaker John Boehner and GOP leadership have removed several conservative House members from their respective powerful committee positions, Breitbart News has learned.
Effective next Congress, leadership pulled Kansas Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp, Michigan Republican Rep. Justin Amash and Arizona Republican Rep. David Schweikert off committees from which they could exert conservative pressure on fiscal matters. Amash and Huelskamp were pulled from the Budget Committee and Schweikert from the Financial Services Committee.
Huelskamp, a freshman elected during the 2010 tea party wave, thinks the leadership move to pull him from the powerful committee is revenge for him standing up for conservatism. It is little wonder why Congress has a 16 percent approval rating: Americans send principled representatives to change Washington and get punished in return, Huelskamp said in a Monday night statement. The GOP leadership might think they have silenced conservatives, but removing me and others from key committees only confirms our conservative convictions. This is clearly a vindictive move, and a sure sign that the GOP Establishment cannot handle disagreement."

And elect them to what? Positions of no power in the GOP?
AGAIN??? HELLO!!!!
Take off the rose colored glasses.
The election cycle for 2014 is already in play. The President knows that, and most of this whole scripted budget game is for the 2014 Congress/Senate. Go look at the Presidential campaign speeches which continue on....even into this week. We are on a 365-day cycle now, campaign is a full-time profession/job, even for MSNBC.
Time to purge the herd.
If, if, and if. "If" has been talking about happening every election since forever. Third parties always fail. They have and they will.
Marco Rubio said it best. If you don't like the establishment then pick a better establishment. The best weapon we have are primaries. I've used them to toss out incumbents. Really bad ones.
Boehner needs a primary.
There is no fiscal cliff. Remember the $1 Trillion is over 10 years or $100 billion per year. That is less than 3 tenths of one percent of the sum of the continuing resolutions passed off as a budget (which is something the Democrats avoid like the plague since they have to vote on it and that leaves a paper trail).
Someone needs to tell the MSM that the Democrats on the Super Committee DID NOT COMPROMISE and now it is time for the Republicans to return the favor. The Republicans just need to walk away. The fact that Boehner was the first to open his stupid pie hole and offer revenue means he is trying to find a way to give his imperial majesty Comrade El Presidente Caliph Sheik Obama the First everything he wants.
Had the elitist Establishment Republican wing of the ruling political class had any courage, any intestinal fortitude, a malignant gonad between the lot of them, and refused extending unemployment and generally funding the welfare state, the past election would have been far different and this radical Commie wannabe, Islamic ass kisser of a President would have been been put on the trash heap of history along with the other tin horn dictators in the garbage bin of history.
Not the first time that Divine Revelation came from a donkey.
It will continue until the Tea Party's insurgency get's even stronger and finds some US Senate candidates and POTUS candidates for the next several elections.
The guy with all the no-new-taxes pledges (Grover Norquist) already has predicted a mighty surge in Tea Party activity and that would be wonderful as it's the only thing that strikes abject FEAR into the MSM, the GOPe and the Demonicrats!!!
No body's going to simply hand power back to the conservative people... They must sieze each day and the out of control Washington establishment!!!
They must prepare carefully, not only to campaign effectively, but to govern correctly to make the incremental reversal inevitable, inexorable and complete!!!
It seems like every other day there is a valid new evidence added to the argument in favor of dumping the GOP in favor of a third-party. I no longer even know what the hell the ‘point’ of the Republican Party’s existence is anymore. They run like mad from any hint of social conservatism; they show zero interest in fiscal restraint; they play the same ‘picking winners/losers’ game the Dems do albeit with their own cronies; the leadership is dying to push amnesty and pander to illegals; other than a somewhat more pronounced aversion to taxes, the GOP hardly seems much different than the Dem Party of a few years ago, before Obama’s near-total marxist immersion of it.
Can’t really justify any support of the GOP whatsoever anymore. Their values and ideology are no longer mine. Still boggles my mind that it has come to this, after exclusively supporting and voting for them all my life.
So you primary Bohner. Then what? The infrastructure is all GOP/lib. All those loyalists will do what? Work against the new blood to reinstall the old, that’s what. Att ANY cost.
Every aide, every secretary, all of it is used to and likes the old way. Do you seriously think that they will suddenly get religion? Seriously?
Lucky for me, I no longer have any Satellite or Cable TV service. I got so disgusted in August at the lamestream media (and Fox News' slide to the LEFT) along with a $100 DirecTV bill that I just cancelled it and said the hell with it.
We have an OTA (Over-The-Air) antenna up on my ham radio tower now, and a Roku device to stream whatever TV/Movies we want to watch over the internet.
My TV viewing is typically college football on Saturdays, and pro-football on Sundays. Aside from that, I watch the nightly news between 10:12 and 10:16 just to see the next day's weather and then turn the idiot box off.
Amazingly, I have more time for my hobbies (ham radio) and time with my kids. Funny how that works once you get rid of the idiot box.
That’s what I’ve been saying. Instead of the rinos saying “You real conservatives need to come over here with us” a new party needs to say “You rinos can come over to us or stay with your friends in the other party.”
Because the 2%ers are failures. Always have been. Always will be. That's the fact, Jack. Any new party will be no more successful than Bull Moose, Strom Thurmond, George Wallace, Constitution Party, Libertarian Party, Bob Barr, Gary Johnson, Pat Buchanan, Ron Paul 88, Ross Perot, John Anderson, Virgil Goode, or Ralph Nader.
Instead of suicide missions, you should target Boehner and company in the next primary. Find an electable conservative in Butler County Ohio who is fed up with Boehner, have competent people run his campaign, donate to that campaign, make sure that campaign has a good message, and do what is necessary to win the primary.
Agreed!
The GOP will never displace the Whigs.
NEVER.
EVER.
Oops...guess your argument failed. But please, continue the fantasy that one or a dozen primary wins will change the entire structure of the GOP corporate culture. Because of course, all the people still employed there and defanged will give their best effort to the cause of conservatism.

But, but, but.....you just don’t understand.....it will be different this time.
Yep, the convergence of the Left, Muzziers and the Globalists against the Christians, Jews and Freedom Lovers.
You’re right, Norm
Let’s just forget it. More Romney’s More Boehners!
Yippee!
Let it burn to the ground. The sooner it happens the better.
they never learn being democrat-lite ever gets them the victoriesthey dream of, or the press adulation they crave.
Primary the rest of the problems. We did it. We got rid of Joe Schwarz.
The infrastructure is all GOP/lib. All those loyalists will do what? Work against the new blood to reinstall the old, thats what. Att ANY cost.
Most of them work directly for reps. When the reps are fired, they are looking for work.
Every aide, every secretary, all of it is used to and likes the old way. Do you seriously think that they will suddenly get religion? Seriously?
Every aide and secretary first and foremost wants to keep their JOB. If their job is threatened, they will get religion because they don't want to be fired.
