MSNBC host Chuck Todd reported that a "very smart White House aide" told him that "with this Republican, with the way politics of Washington are today, there'd still be slavery." Watch here:

Excellent and quite telling.
I am so sick of this racist crap.
For the historically challenged left, plantations were the corporations of pre-industrial America.
That “aide” is ignorant. But you can’t expect better out of this Administration.
Do they think the Republicans wanted slavery? If it wan’t for the GOP the slavery thing would still exist! Old Abe ended Slavery in 1863. Lincoln was a Republican.
It never occurs to them to unite. All they know how to do is divide.
This Administration is a bunch of idiots with big mouths.
A “very smart” Whitehouse aide? Anyone who says such a thing is either a race-baiting moron or a......a......?.....no, that about covers it.
Liberals are compassionate racists, which in their world is okay.
Ditto - it’s always the Democrats and people like Sharpton and Jackson and the MSM that keep pushing racism. I like to quote that if a piano player is called a pianist why can’t someone who drives in NASCAR be called a racist ....???
Today’s democrats are compassionate racists, which in their world is okay. Democrats still hold freedom over their slaves heads. Instead of working the plantations for food and shelter, all they are required to do is vote for their owner’s continued power and control.
I’ve not seen that quote before.... thanks. ;>)
With these Bolshecrats, we have slavery today. If you are denied the benefits of your labor, you are a slave.
The DNC has again enslaved many.
Republicans had to kill many democrats to end slavery.
History always repeats itself.
“Sad fact, we do understand, but we are helpless to change the attitudes.”
Sad but true...
“They won the election but they just can’t stop campaigning.”
They won the White House and kept the Senate; they are furious that this thing called “The House” stands in their way...
Be sure to watch video. Republicans are being blamed for legislative gridlock, as usual, but not for slavery. The jerk was saying even Lincoln would not have been able to get anything done if Washington had been the way it is today.
More “blame the Republicans” nonsense, but the title and the description are misleading.
On the issue that is actually being raised in the video: When the president is opposed to retaining the Bush tax cuts, is in favor of more tax increases on top of that, not even counting the other taxes that go into effect in 2013, and objects to carving anything out of the two major entitlements or any others, how can the Republicans be called stubborn?
Obama thinks he can stand firm on everything while constantly bashing the Republicans for doing the same thing.
Can someone explain to me how this is different from a slave owner, paying an overseer to keep the slaves in line and at work?
If I'm wrong, I'd like to be set straight on this.
Some member of Congress MUST go out and say
“...if true, then President Obama is surrounding himself with morons and jackasses.”
DO NOT just let this crap go by.
