Boehner doesn’t have a clue what is going on. Apparently he laughed at Tim Geithner because the Democrats put forth a ludicrous plan.

Who the hell cares? Is this supposed to show that Republicans are “on to” the Democrats?? We know they are a joke? Their plan is ridiculous, and we’re going to tell the world?

Who the hell cares? What are the Republicans prepared to do? I say that they are prepared to do nothing at all, except pretend to be outraged and to perform a little Kabuki theater about being an opposition party.

The Republicans need to stop laughing. They need to push Obama to be more Obama-like, and they need to vote “present” when the bad bills come up for a vote. Let the country’s decline steepen. Put Democrat fingerprints all over it. If the Republicans try to provide any assistance in steering this ship, then 100% of the blame for the result will be on the GOP. Don’t they see that?? Or are they too busy yukking it up?

The House Republicans could just vote on and pass Obama’s Simpson-Bowles Commission recommendations. They won’t have to actually think too much about it. Just stick together and put the ball back into the Dim’s and Obama’s court. I really don’t want the Repub’s to think about this as they tend to lose their collective spines.

Don’t they see that??

As obvious as everything that you said is, I have little doubt that they do not understand (or if they do, they do not care). One way or another, Boehner is going to make sure that the Democrats are successful in pinning the upcoming (and inevitable) recession and/or collapse on the Republicans. We must have a responsible bi-partisan effort, of course. And Boehner will provide that, not understanding that he will be throwing this country under the bus, in doing so. I would love to see the Republican establishment surprise me, but I don't see it happening.
