What a happy ending.
I know ammo is getting more expensive and harder to get but she really does need a little more time at the range. Still, one out of two isn’t bad.
I love a happy ending. A great ending would’ve been two for two. But then the optimist in me hopes maybe the survivor will rethink his life of crime and change his ways. Maybe she could change his life, rather than end it. If not, I hope he runs into someone just like her, just as prepared as she was.
He was such a good boy. He and his buddy were only going to rape and murder the girl. The only reason he is dead is because of racism.
She confronted the two men as they reached the second-floor landing and shot at them several times
Good job, but she needs more range time. That way she’ll learn to shoot them, not shoot “at” them.
Are authorities on their way to Lancaster, PA to find the hoodlum who got away?
“The father is proud of his daughters actions. “
Yeah, he was only sorry that she didn’t get both of them. Good parenting!
More range time for sure.
In a similar situation under similar stress I would hope to do half as well. Range time cannot prepare you for the adrenaline surge total terror your life is on the line situation this woman faced. There is no way to practice for that. It’s hard to hit a target when you are breathing 40 times a minute with hands violently shaking. I say good for her!!!
He said he will now teach his daughter how to forgive herself for taking a life. "I really don't have a problem with what my baby done to them," he said. "I just hate that she hesitated and didn't get them both."
Nominee for father of the year!
Your words are true. It’s estimated that accuracy deteriorates about 50% in a real life crisis. Putting it in bowling terms, it’s unfortunate she didn’t “pick up the spare.”
Being able to shoot a stationary target is not the same as being able to hit a moving and dodging target under stress.
It would have been even better if both dirt bags had been taken out but I will settle for one
As a trainer for military police including prison response teams, I cant disagree with you more. There is a thing called muscle memory. During times of stress is is common to loose fine motor control - true. But time on the range practicing drawing, firing, clearing failures, etc does help. And a LOT of time helps a LOT. Train with stress inducing activities, and it can help a lot more.
Good news.
I hope she would be 2 for 2 next time
Yep. I am sure that some on that side, way over on that side, will see it as racism to shoot crooks. lol
