Todays attack was a chilling reminder of the day earlier in November when the seven-year-old girl was snatched by a saltwater crocodile 210 miles east of Darwin.

Saltwater crocodiles, which can grow up to 25ft and weigh more than a ton, are plentiful in the Northern Territory...
Crocodiles are protected in the Northern Territory and their numbers have increased steadily, resulting in a number of attacks on people,
One man writing to the Northern Territory News today said: This has got to stop there are too many crocs.
Of course we need to use common sense when in the bush, but please lets have a sensible policy on the crocodile population.

You talkin about Swamp People? I am sure the Northern Territory of Australia has their fair share of that type.
I’ll go ya one better and suggest an excaVator.Fair dinkum,an excatator sounds like sumfin’ you dig spuds up with.Ya nong!
I would take them out.
It is not acceptable to have your children eaten by crocodiles.
One of my earliest memories is an encounter with a water mocassin in some park in South Carolina near Lexington. We were visiting my grandmother and were there to see the swans. We were walking along a dirt path and this water mocassin was guarding one corner, as it seemed. As I recall, it was coiled, but who knows. We were all advised to give it wide berth, and everything was very calm and orderly, with many reassurances being given. So, I survived.
You must be very very very far away from the situation. The issue is an over population of the crocs who have been protected by the environmentalists.
Do you think if they could they wouldn’t?
maybe as the libtard is being eaten he’ll say shoot it, and you’ll say, can’t it’s endangered.
I don't blame mosquitoes. I just swat them.
That really is a disgusting comment, like many others I have read here lately.
The balance of nature doesn’t miss the trex and it wouldn’t miss the estuarian crocodile.
LOL who made you the spelling Police. I am Irish what do you ‘spect.

Hey - “you swim with the crocodiles.......”
But they do not think, saving these crocs/gators is causing deaths and other issues. People like him who cried about these gators. They have moved them to rural areas. Over time, developments have been built, and there they are. I cannot believe they have not did something here. Some of these people here, just ignore it and seem to not care. We are living in liberal times in most places. The libs are to blame for most stupidity that goes on. The people at the end of the line have jumped in front of all of us. People who were up near in the front, are too cowardly to push them back.
I’m not sure what the deer comment is bout but I am sure there’s someone one this forum that can enlighten me. But, the American deer population by all appearances does have its own coalition as there are more deer now in the U.S. than when the Pilgrams arrived. They’re everywhere, have become pests in many communities.....
Koalas are mean.
Spirited: Our focus needs to be on the ‘protectors’ of crocodiles rather than on the crocodiles themselves since despite the mounting deaths of fellow human beings crocodile protectors remain silent. The overriding question that needs asking and answering is this:
1. Why are crocodile protectors (and spotted owl, various insects, wolves, etc) OK with fellow humans being terrorized, attacked and even eaten?
There is a very sick, twisted, downright evil spirit energizing and flowing through the so-called ‘animal rights’ movement that needs to be brought to light.
