Al-Qaradawi (يوسف القرضاوي) is the president of the Global Muslim Brotherhood. He's the movement's ultimate authority. Based in Qatar, he operates without interference from local authorities. His ultimate, avowed goal is to have the islamic law (Sharia) enforced world-wide.
Born in Egypt in 1926, he studied at Al-Azhar University, the most ancient institution of "education" in the Sunni Muslim world. Founded in 971 A.D, and located in Cairo, it became a "university" in 1961, with branches in several countries. It has rapidly become a hotbed of Muslim Brothers. As a student, Qaradawi was active in the resistance to the British presence (1881-1956), and subscribed to the political project of Muslim Brotherhood's founder Hassan al-Banna.
With the support of the Qatar régime, he established the College of Sharia and islamic studies and an institute for Sunnah research at the University of Qatar.
Al-Qaradawi has his own TV program on Qatar-based Al-Jazeera (Shariah and Life) and an internet site.
As chairman of the European Council for Fatwa and Research (ECFR), which he founded in 1997, he is heavily involved in the islamization of Europe.
The ECFR is the theological body of the Federation of Islamic Organizations in Europe (FIOE) which is the umbrella body for the Muslim Brotherhood in Europe.
See The Muslim Brotherhood's Conquest of Europe, the Muslim Brotherhood in Europe, and The Federation of Islamic Organizations in Europe.
More importantly, Qaradawi founded the Union of Good (UG, ائتلاف خير).
See the organizational structure of the UG here.
Al-Qaradawi is the President of this global organization.

The UG has created two international organizations connected to the Muslim World Lead: the IICWC (Committee) and the IICDR (Council).
The International Islamic Committee for Woman and Child describes itself as part of the International Islamic Council for Dawa'a and Relief.
The Council was declared a terrorist-funding organization by Israel in 2008 for its financial support for Hamas (which is a Muslim Brotherhood branch).
As a matter of fact, the UG was also declared an unlawful organization by the Israeli government in 2002, and by the US government in 2008.
Being both an Islamic law authority and the head of the UG, al-Qaradawi gives islamico-legal justification (fatwas) to transferring funds to paramilitary organizations under the heading of financial jihad. Qaradawi has called zakat (tithing) generated by shariah-compliant financial transactions "jihad with money."
In a lecture given in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2002, he noted that collecting money for the mujahideen (jihad fighters, or Muslim holy warriors) was a duty necessitated by the sacrifices they made for the Muslim nation.
Al-Qaradawi was also appointed to the board of directors of the Al-Taqwa (Fear of God, or Muslim Piety) Bank, which was designated by American Executive Order 13224 as involved in financing terrorism.
He has also called for the islamization of the United-States and of Canada.
Verrrrry Interessssting!
Muslim Brotherhood...
Muslim Brotherhood...
Well thank you sir! I try to keep it as dry as possible. Just to map what is going on.
Does seem as though a fair number of Egyptians don’t like what is happening, maybe it isn’t a done deal. I suppose it depends on if the Egyptian mil decides they don’t want the MB in charge. I hope something like that happens.
If there's a revolt, there's gonna be a repression as hard as the one in Iran, 2009.
The Muslim Brotherhood ain't going anywhere. They've been preparing for that since 1928...
Hamas, which is a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, is staying in Gaza for good also...
I’m beginning to think it’s more the Muslim Brotherhood that *built* Obama... than he who *built* ‘em.
Maybe the only way to defeat islam and it’s ambition of world domination is to allow the muslim brotherhood to implement sharia and drag the entire middle east back to the 7th century.
Those muslims that don’t want to go along for the ride will then see what it was they protested/voted for.
Just wait until they run out of other people’s money and there’s no food, water of power in Egypt.
We’ll soon know how devoted they are to islam, then. So much for democracy and freedom; they, like the people who voted for obama, don’t know what it means.
it’s not about devotion but about totalitarian repression.
The Muslim Bros will be as ruthless as the ayatollahs of Iran.
I don’t think the Iranian people enjoy their régime... I think it’s more like a satanic system that enslaves and submits everyone and kills the rest.
Egypt has a population of over 83 million in July 2012 according to the CIA Factbook:
“...Economy - overview:
Occupying the northeast corner of the African continent, Egypt is bisected by the highly fertile Nile valley, where most economic activity takes place. Egypt’s economy was highly centralized during the rule of former President Gamal Abdel NASSER but opened up considerably under former Presidents Anwar EL-SADAT and Mohamed Hosni MUBARAK. Cairo from 2004 to 2008 aggressively pursued economic reforms to attract foreign investment and facilitate GDP growth. Despite the relatively high levels of economic growth in recent years, living conditions for the average Egyptian remained poor and contributed to public discontent. After unrest erupted in January 2011, the Egyptian Government drastically increased social spending to address public dissatisfaction, but political uncertainty at the same time caused economic growth to slow significantly, reducing the government’s revenues. Tourism, manufacturing, and construction are among the hardest hit sectors of the Egyptian economy, and economic growth is likely to remain slow at least through 2012. The government is utilizing foreign exchange reserves to support the Egyptian pound and Egypt may seek a loan from the International Monetary Fund...”
Egypt cannot feed itself, it’s primary income appears to be tourism, (goodbye to that) and the only way they can exist is to borrow money. Sharia will take them back to ‘the straight path’ following in the footsteps of mohammad. I can’t wait to see how that’s all going to work out. In Tunisia, the people are already demonstrating...AGAINST THE ARBA SPRING GOVERNMENT THEY DEMONSTRATED FOR.
We ain’t seen nothing yet.
And totalitarian repressions don’t last for-ever. Notice, as they progress, what is behind them is already beginning to collapse.
All they are capable of is TOTAL destruction.
My money is on rivers of blood, rather than freedom.
the problem is islam, and islam has infected almost everyone there.
Watch Syria...
I agree. But I see an infinite destruction, without construction.
I would bet on the destruction of the Sphynx and the pyramids before 2016...
islam is the master-piece of satan, the angel of destruction.
And islam carries within it the seeds of it’s own destruction. Watch and wait. The muslim brotherhood will turn the middle east into a waste-land.
Islam is as a thistle-seed in the wind to the pyramids. You give the diseased mind of the psychotic desert war-lord too much credit. The pyramids will still exist after his name has long been forgotten.
Man fears time, Time fears the Pyramids.
Yes, I agree. Into a desert, into nothingness.
But that does not back your suggestion of a coming revolution against the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt or in Gaza.
