I make a conscious decision over how long I want to be ‘enraged”...and then most of the time,”let it go.”
In hindsight I have gotten so bent out of shape over stuff when I look back at it, was just a waste of energy and time.
I think if most people would do an honest self-assesment and "inventory" their anger they would find that about 1-2% of their anger was righteous and justified, and that their anger drove them to take positive actions to right a wrong, overcome an injustice, etc. The other 98-99%, they would find, either spurred them to do something really stupid, or they bottled it up and allowed their own hearts, minds and souls to stew in the poison of their bitterness.
You see a lot of that on the left, btw.
