These "critics" are actually an integral part of the president's agenda. Their demands provide the political impetus to move in the direction Obama is determined to go anyway; a kind of triangulation, or more accurately, a dialectic process.

It's amazing and depressing to realize the American people can't see through this. From the article:

Any agenda that’s void of a sustainable strategy for economic advancement will do African Americans little good. But a universal plan seeking to help the poor and middle class stay afloat will fall short of meeting the black community’s specific needs.

Which is to say, "let's decide on the best way to loot America."
