Community members are up in arms in southeast Houston, demanding justice for a 21-year-old man who was shot by a store clerk during an altercation Monday night. What happened? The young man punched the clerk in the face.
According to KHOU news, Alexander Calloway and his two cousins were trying to enter a gas station at 3:30 a.m., but the store was locked. The young men got into an argument with the clerk, Akrem Azzam, through the bulletproof exterior counter. Azzam eventually unlocked the door to speak with Calloway, which was admittedly unwise. Still, thats no excuse for what happened next.
Azzam confronted Calloway, the two getting chest to chest, apparently arguing (in the video it looks like Calloway was the aggressor). Calloway reached back and hit Azzam in the face, and in turn Azzam pointed his handgun at Calloway and shot him in the belly.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. So, what is surveillance footage worth? Probably a not guilty verdict.

I doubt the Muslims will be standing with the sons of Obama.
Not really interesting. In many urban areas, the hardworking Arab Muslim shop-owners are the only law-abiding folks around. Believe me, there's little solidarity between these two ethnic groups.
I would say many but not most. There's plenty of Muslim shop owners. There just not Jihadis. After Bush opened the floodgates to Muslim immigration post 9/11, many came here simply for a chance to prosper.
There's a Muslim gas station owner by my house. I stop by after work every night to pick up a couple of 4-Lokos. He's a good guy. Calls me "boss". Has no problem selling me alcohol. Then again, I'm white so I'm not really a threat unlike the black youth who shoplift (and are the reason he spent a great amount of profit installing a bulletproof plexi-glass barrier).
What a weak assed punch!
No wonder he got shot in the stomach! The store clerck just flinched and the gun went off.
Been years since I heard that! :)
These things are so damned predictable, any more. A “white Hispanic” in the mix would have made things so simple for the whores.
Looks like more Black Ku Klux Klan Racism.....
Maybe if the Black community would police their own...a lot less of them would get shot by people defending themselves.
You can bet the liberal media will side with the Black Racists over a Middle Eastern person
Mistake number one...living or working in downtown tribal Houston (our Detroit). Unfortunately, the DA down there will do everything possible to press charges and prosecute. Two places you don’t want to shoot someone in Texas, even in self defense, Insane Austin and Tribal Houston. They will prosecute and make it miserable even if eventually they lose the case .... legal prosecutor misconduct and harassment.
4-Lokos...Dear God why?
Some of these same “community” protestors thought it was just fine when Crystal Scott shot Jonathan Ables through her car window at a gas station. (Houston, Sept. 2012) The dead man (no weapon) was tried in the media while his body was still warm. NAACP and NAACP-linked attorney showed up right after the shooting. MSM has NO interest in reporting on “911 tapes”, surveillance video, witness statements, how many times he was shot, did she get our of her car at the busy gas station and shooting him more than one time, etc. a big NOTHING from the MSM.
There’s a reason the owner kept the store locked and protected with bulletproof glass. Would be interesting to see the crime stats for that ‘hood.
Protest held “8000 block MLK”
You can’t make this stuff up.
Because T-Bird just ain't what it used it used to be.
True story. May I suggest MD 20/20 or 40oz of Old E?
If you ever go to Houston, better walk right
Keep your hands in your pockets and your gun belt tight
You’ll be asking for trouble if you’re looking for a fight
If you ever go to Houston, boy you better walk right
Funniest comment this week! Lifting a bit of the 0-relection blues
