While conservative legislators are busily pointing out what Obama budgets really are the new media should start blasting away at the new EPA regs and the effects of the Demo-coms energy policys To pick up some ideas checkout

First, consider how we got here. The fiscal cliff is a creation of the Budget Control Act of 2011, one of the most remarkably one-sided deals ever cut in Washington. Discretionary spending represents only 35 percent of the federal budget, yet the agreement calls exclusively for cuts to discretionary programs, half in the defense sector. Entitlements, the undisputed drivers of the budget crisis, remain untouched.
For the Obama campaign, the deal was a godsend. What might have been a vigorous debate over governments growth all but disappeared until after the election. Obama was free to spend a full year attacking Romney as a handmaiden to the rich. Congressional Republicans had virtually nothing to say.
Youd think the people responsible for signing off on a deal like this would have fled to Paraguay in shame. But no. Theyre still on Capitol Hill, cowering and outmaneuvered by their counterparts at the White House. In a normal year, Republicans might be able to negotiate a deal to keep the current top tax rates in place and shift some of the cuts slated for defense to entitlements and wasteful discretionary programs. (Sayonara, Obama phone.) This is not a normal year. Republican leadership isnt just weak in this negotiation; its submissive. This is Fifty Shades of Grey, the Congressional edition. Leaping off the cliff is probably the best deal Republicans are capable of getting.” Idiot congressional Republicans gave Obama a loaded weapon to use against them with this Act that Bohner rammed though the house after a deal with O, Reid and Pelosi.
If Bohner and McConnell are not replaced then Republicans deserve everything they get.

Either way the Republicans are screwed politically. Americans are planning to lay the blame for any repercussions on them. So, at least make it count. Just tell them those tax cuts were from the eeeeeevviiiillll Bush Administration. The sheep should be thrillef to be rid of them. But someone in the “media” will have to direct them to be happy.

Unfortunately, you and I will be the recipients of their incompetence.

If Bohner and McConnell are not replaced then Republicans deserve everything they get. I would advise every Republican in this nation to vacate their Republican registration if this comes to pass.
We need to make that known up front too. Then when it happens, the RNC will know exactly why.
With 2% of the national registrations in March, perhaps the ears of the Republican party will perk up a little.

I couldn’t agree more. Better to take the pain and blame now than to go into national bankruptcy. This spending must be stopped in its tracks. And this is the best way to do it. Otherwise we will just be like the frog in the boiling water who will realize too late it can’t crawl out. We are that frog.

Everyone in Washington fears the fiscal cliff. The White House has no interest in going over.
Don't kid yourself. Its exactly what they want to happen. (See Cloward-Piven) Financial chaos will bring out the "Government Save Us" calls and the Marxists will jump right in all the while blaming the Republicans 'cause they wouldn't cooperate.

The GOP needs to make a counter proposqal to the ridiculus opening Obama position:
Tax the rich for cost cuts now.
Entitlement reform now.
No cuts--no taxes!

Then Boner should just announce that 0bama will get his way on everything HE wants and HE’LL own it. Unfortunately, this will trigger MORE small business UNCERTAINTY on top of the OBAMACARE UNCERTAINTY which is exactly what 0bama is striving for so as to make his Cloward-Piven dream come true of getting even MORE people on the government dole for MORE dependency so 0bama can proclaim himself president for MORE than just four MORE years.

FR has some math experts.. What is the total revenue generated by 0bama’s ‘tax hit on the rich’ and how much does it offset the national debt? I know it’s barely a dent, if even a scratch.
To: GVnana
Propose a tax rate of 100% on all income over $1,000,000 per year and then stand back and watch the rats argue against it because of the damage it will do.
To: stephenjohnbanker
They have managed to back themselves into a corner where whatever the outcome the fault will be theirs. Good work idiots! You lose an election twice, Romney then has lunch with the fraud and chief and now you have made yourselves irrelevant and the laughing stock. Third party where are you Im ready to come aboard

The Republicans should not fear at all. The mid-term elections are close to two years away, and that is a very long time in politics.
Remember how, after Gulf War I, H.W. Bush was in the polling stratosphere. Ridiculously high approval ratings. But in a short period of time he lost his reelection.
The public is fickle. If the Republicans go all in right now and refuse to play along with the Democrats, they will indeed feel the heat for a month or two. But then the heat will shift and intensify on the Democrats, big time.
The 47%, the unions, Wall Street, etc., will be screaming at the Democrats to “do something”, and from that point, the Republicans will be in the cat bird seat.

That's why all, and I mean
all, of the Repubs need to be talking in unison to the "media" that the Dems need to come up with an acceptable plan for the country. Push it all on Obama. Then nit-pick apart anything the Dems actually come up with and blame them for the delay (smoke-and-mirrors, etc.).
Ahhh, what am I saying. The Repubs will fold like yesterday's laundry.
