Six students who allegedly assaulted a Richmond, Va., middle school bus driver Tuesday have been arrested and charged, according to the Richmond Police Department.
The unidentified students face felony aggravated assault and assault by mob charges, police said. A seventh student was suspended in connection with the incident.
Richmond City school administrators said the group of students attacked a bus driver on the way to Albert Hill Middle School at approximately 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. The alleged assault left the 55-year-old male bus driver with serious face and head injuries, according to NBC12, a station in Richmond.

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Trophies and medals adorn Robin Allen’s home. Her son Lavar, 12, has won awards in basketball, baseball, for most valuable player and for best attitude.
But Wednesday night, Lavar’s mom says her son sat in a juvenile jail cell, accused of assaulting a school bus driver.
“I`m upset. I’m frustrated. I`m hurt. He`s not into no violence. He plays basketball, he goes to school, he goes to practice. He don’t get into this type of stuff,” Robin said.
Lavar Allen is one of six Albert Hill Middle School students arrested Wednesday, charged with the assault of a 55 year-old male bus driver Tuesday morning near the intersection of Idlewood and Sheppard Streets.
“He shed tears, because he don`t understand. He don`t want to mess up his basketball career,” she said.

No it’s not rhetorical.
Buses are tax paid, so are the students, the schools, the bus driver, the bus fuel etc. The tax payers have every right to view the video, and not wait for it to be edited by some school administrators or some local government bureaucrat with they’re own personal private agenda.
