Snip:
So, contrary to what many Republicans believe, Barack Obama is not the problem. He is but a symptom of the problem. Over the past hundred years or so, the United States government has been infiltrated by lots of communists. Thats nothing new. But in the days of yore, Republicans and Democrats worked to track down the commies, root them out and, in the case of the Rosenbergs, even execute them.
Lets face it, on a level playing field, a communist is no match for a true patriot who is passionate about liberty. But therein lies the problem. Today, not only do virtually all Democrats not believe in individual liberty, neither do a majority of Republicans. Sadly, most politicians in both parties are now statists, meaning that they believe the state should have the power to violate the sovereignty of individual citizens at will.
Nevertheless, Ive come to believe that establishment Republicans are like the attorneys who tell me they arent part of the deal-killing legal establishment. In other words, most establishment Republicans really dont think of themselves as part of the establishment. Through some sort of perverse, subconscious rationalization, they really believe they are in favor smaller government, lower taxes, less regulation and more individual liberty.
Thats why you hear status-quo Republicans like Bill Kristol, Newt Gingrich and Bill Bennett often refer to the Republican establishment with disdain. Perhaps Im naïve, but I do know human nature, and I believe such people have the same mind-set as Legalman. In their heart of hearts, they really dont see themselves as part of the Republican establishment.
Thats how status-quo guys like John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and Eric Cantor manage to remain in leadership roles in the Republican Party, even after the Republicans get clobbered by the Dirty Dems. These are

It’s time for conservatives to leave the Republican party and let the remnant to merge with the democrats since they want to anyway.
Maybe we need a new third party named “the Freedom Party” to oppose the “Free Stuff Party” aka the democrat party. Since we’re broke, we should be running out of free stuff shortly.
There is a third party. It’s called “independents”. Has a nice ring to it. The Independent Party.
Neither Republicans nor Democrats have believed in liberty for a long time. During the Reagan Administration, and the years of Newt’s speakership, we were fooled into believing that, because Reagan believed in liberty, Republicans did.
I was disabused of that notion every time I went to some local Republican party event. All they cared about was winning elections so that they could hand out patronage jobs so that people owed them favors.
The GOP abandoned its belief in American jobs, when it started sending our jobs overseas.
Now that has caught up with the GOP.
The foreign companies are majority owned and operated by ... foreigners, and the American companies have divested themselves of Americans.
This is a huge problem, which nobody talks about.
“The GOP abandoned its belief in American jobs, when it started sending our jobs overseas.”
I’m confused. Did the GOP get the army to force companies to hire people overseas?
No but we have pretty much alone among the people in the world, abandoned loyalty to our own country, to chase profits.
Now it has reached the point, it changes the results of American elections.
you go into biz to make money, lots of it, etc...and continued high taxation, labor laws, epa regs, cut into it....i dont blame anyone for picking up and moving....
Chasing profits? how horrible. I think you should join the Occupiers.
Hey I’m all for chasing profits.
My point is, do so in a way which benefits America.
That is all.
“My point is, do so in a way which benefits America”
I’d rather do so in way that benefits ME. I’m taking the risks, not the “country.” The invisable hand will take care of the country, or not, depending on the business environment, which, right now, sucks.
I apologize for my previous reply. I forgot. I didn’t build that.
