No?. . . So you won't do whatever it takes. . .
Actually, it's staggering how stupid the left is about this: empirical data shows that the rich pay a larger share of taxes when the top marginal rates are low than when they are high. All higher rates do is increase the priority given to tax avoidance in opposition to rate of return on investment. If they really want the rich to pay more in taxes, they should be rushing to pass the measures Romney proposed. (It's actually hilarious that a crowd so impervious to empirical evidence loudly shouts that we conservatives are "anti-science".)
SCUM
If the Republicans block any Tax increases on “the rich”, the Democrats and their Media sycophants will spend the next two years blaming them for the Economy while protecting the Evil Rich on the backs of the poor, which of course will result in Pelosi taking back the House in 2014.
Insist on real Budget Cuts and then give them their stupid Tax Increases on the Evil Rich that might raise $100 Billion, you know less than 10% of the Yearly Deficit.
Add a simpler Tax Code to the mix and make an issue about reversing Obama’s plan to halve the Child Tax Credit to $500. Pound it like it was Obama’s plan all along.
When things still suck in two years, use the “we did it their way argument” going into the Midterm Elections.
Heard today on Rush that Obama’s butt buddy Warren Buffet admitted that Taxing the Rich wouldn’t make a dent in the Deficit, but it would give the imaginary Middle Class a warm fuzzy feeling, thus proving that rich and sane are not mutually inclusive.
And yes, I know Democrats agree and then screw us over like they did with the Reagan Budget Cuts that never happened. The agreement has to be ironclad, period.
C - vote “Present”. Likely outcome(s) - taxes raised on people making over $250,000 a year. Taxes remain the same for those making less than $250,000 a year. Media praises Democrats and Democrat voters see this as a win. Media and Republican voters confused. Costs to Democrats - people making over $250,000 a year unhappy with Democrats. Benefits to Democrats - viewed as victory. People making less than $250,000 a year see Democrats as benefactors. Costs to Republicans - people making over $250,000 a year unhappy with Republicans. Republican voters confused. Benefits to Republicans - they can’t be blamed if Obama’s plan fails. They weren’t for it or against it.
No kidding, it’s absolutely embarrasing how much this clown is out begging for acceptance. Lou Dobbs was hilarious tonight when the Demonrat spokeshead tried to say there’d be a deal “because of the president’s leadership” and both Lou and the pubbie head started laughing.
These are three possible strategies for the Republicans. It’s a lot of work and this is just very basic. The Democrats do this to a much finer detail. Are the Republicans doing this or just relying on their gut feelings? The Republicans are using political scientists. The Democrats are using psychologists and sociologists.
Mr. Obama - if you will do anything then how about this?
1. Pass “Bush tax cuts” as permanent changes to the tax code
2. Pass further permanent tax cuts across the board
3. Scrap ObamaCare
4. Institute across the board spending cuts for everything including defense. There is no way these turds can do it surgically. Just cut everything with same percentage until the budget is balanced.
This is complete BS...
Why don’t the Republicans say this stuff and not mean it ?
If Barry & Harry wipe the floor with Boehner and McConnell again we will have a Dem House in 2014. The GOP base will be totally demoralized and will sit out the mid term election.
