The Democratic chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence committee has commissioned a federal report to identify prison facilities in the U.S. that are suitable for housing Guantanamo detainees, a document exclusively reviewed by Fox News shows.
In the internal document, the Government Accountability Office refers to Source of Work: Ms. Dianne Feinstein, Chair, Select Committee on Intelligence, U.S. Senate and lists the Gist of Work as an investigation into whether domestic facilities could house the approximately 170 detainees remaining at the controversial facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Two hours after Fox News' inquiry about the report, Feinstein's office posted the report online and released a statement confirming that the California senator thinks the Obama administration's controversial plan to relocate detainees to the United States is a viable option.
This report demonstrates that if the political will exists, we could finally close Guantanamo without imperiling our national security, Feinstein said. The GAO report makes clear that numerous prisons exist inside the United States -- operated by both the Department of Defense and the Department of Justicecapable of holding the 166 detainees who remain at Guantanamo in an environment that meets the security requirements.

She is a dumb one.
You nailed it. Holder's law firm has defended more terrorists pro bono than any other law firm. We're funding Gitmo from the treasury - it would probably be cheaper to close Gitmo. The biggest problem would be bringing foreign combatants into our civilian penal / legal system.
This is nothing but a way to give them access to the U courts in an attempt to free them.
Alcatraz just needs new locks on the doors.
Otherwise, it’s still a better housing area than the shiite-hole where these vermin come from.
If they think the heat in Cuba is bad, wait until they spend summer on San Fran Bay...grab a sweater on the way to your cell.
She’ll have to first get around John McCain and the law passed by Congress, according to McCain on Greta last night.
Gee, would this be a good spot for them?
Thank you, onyx...I just viewed it and McCain sounded pretty definite and positve, Good News.
For anyone wishing to see it here’s the link to video, go to 7:50 minutes.
0bama and his idiot entourage want to bring radical muzzies to the US prisons where they will find fertile ground for converts to radical islam. Afterwards, every time a prisoner is paroled or released, a new sleeper cell will spring up. As long as the al queda and taliban detainees are herded together at GITMO, they will be unable to spread their terrorist philosophy.
I am confused. I heard a video of Rand Paul praising Feinstein on her ammendment and later read he is against bringing the gitmo detainees to the USA. Yes, up popped other articles stating the opposite. How can he praise her ammendment and oppose bringing them to America?
Could the praise for Feinstein from Paul have been on this amendment?
