Is Egypt about to become the new Iran?
The Telegraph (UK) ^ | 11/28/2012 | Con Coughlin

It is not only the anti-government protesters in Egypt's Tahrir Square who should be concerned about President Mohammed Morsi's audacious power grab. Mr Morsi's claim at the weekend that "God's will and elections made me the captain of this ship" has echoes of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini's claim during the 1979 Iranian revolution that his mission to overthrow the Shah enjoyed divine guidance.

Since his announcement that he was granting himself sweeping new powers, Mr Morsi has been trying to reassure sceptical Egyptian voters that he has no ambition to become Egypt's new Pharaoh. But you only have to look at the violent scenes that have once again erupted in Tahrir Square to see that the majority of Egyptians remain unconvinced.

Of course. This was obvious from the time that “NATO” decided to attack Kaddafi and depose him.

And England shares the blame with Obama, Rice, and Clinton.

They have 82 million people, no oil, and little of anything else. The only thing that enables Iran to stumble on is oil revenue.

“God’s will and elections made me the captain of this ship” I think he left out the part where the ‘U.S.’ under 0bama gave the Muslim Brotherhood millions of $$$$, making it all possible. Campaigning with lots of $$$$, compliments of Hussein 0bama, will get you the coveted slot. The MB LIED when they promised they’d not run a candidate in the Egypt election.. 0bama loves a good LIAR because he can relate 100%.

Mubarak was deposed long before France and England bombed Gaddafi out of power. Just saying. Unlike Mubarak, Gaddafi was never a friend of the west.

They had some revenue from tourists wanting to see the antiquities. Now, forget it.

The kenyan has been edgy because of the rise of Iran. He is ecstatic that Islam is finally reaching up to seize the engine of world politics but at the same time nonplussed that tit is Shia Islam that is in the ascendant. He has perhaps now created a Sunni counterweight in Egypt and is waiting for the Sunni caliph to have enough control to entrust him with Islamic necuear weapons to put Sunni engineers at the throttle of the Mohammedan train.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Duffy wasn’t any kind of foe as well for 20+ years after Reagal taught him a lesson.
Gaddafi now is a live example for other dictators of how it may not be done.
He has followed all the sanctions, abandoned WMD program, effectively finished any terrorist activity and cooperated just to get that.
I guess if he still had WMD things could end differently. Other tyrants take notes.
