St. Lucie had around 70%. This compares to 42% statewide in 2008.

According to the FL Division of Elections the statewide turnout for the 2008 General Election was 75.2% and St Lucie County had 77.1% turnout. Don’t know if that is accurate or not but that is what is shown on the following link.

Polls indicated that Romney was going to win the election. The economy is close to Great Depression era conditions, and unemployment is almost as high as when Obama entered office. Economic conditions became so dire after Obama took office it prompted the rise of an entire new movement, the Tea Party.
Presidents rarely win reelection when the economy is in the tank.
So how did Romney lose a race that numerous reputable polls and pundits predicted would be an easy win, based on historical patterns?

To those attempting to dispute the voter ID theory don’t forget there are states with PICTURE ID requirements, and Non-Photo ID requirements and states where you might be asked to supply some sort of non-photo ID.

I believe the PICTURE IDs are the most secure in a very insecure system.

I believe the following are the only mandatory photo ID states and Obamas status. (this came from the web so verification is required)

Part of the problem is not that an ID law is or is not in place but whether or not it is effectively enforced. If the law says ID is required and the polls allow “Hello my name is” name tags as a valid ID then you have not solved the problem.

Ask yourself this; If they could have clean elections in Iraq using purple finger ink then why are we not using purple finger ink?

Most states allow the voter to cast a provisional ballot if you forget your id so that's what I thought you meant. I didn't realize MI allows you to cast an actual ballot. No need to get defensive it was just an honest mistake on my part.
