Used to work at a drive in movie. We called them PROPELLERS and there was this old guy we had who went out with a nail on the end of a pole to collect them. He put them in a sack. Then he tossed the sack in the dumpster.

Took him a couple of hours ~ people'd get so upset if they stepped out of the car to go to the concession stand to get a soda and they, or their kids, stepped on one.

Very important job. Paid several times what the rest of us got.

Fluke's $3,000 a year would've filled the lot every evening ~
