The hope that many of us had that the nightmare of the Obama presidency would end faded into the night on November 6th. In reality though, "hope" was not very much of a plan.
In the experiences that I have had assisting companies and organizations avoid bankruptcy, there is a very predictable pattern that organizations face when they are dealing with serious financial problems.
The pattern involves economic growth and prosperity followed by overspending. From overspending and excess comes a period of denial that anything must change to solve the problem. From denial comes failure. If the failure is accepted and dealt with growth is restored and the cycle begins again. If failure is not accepted, the organization will cease to exist.
The sheer disappointment and almost melancholy reactions to the Obama reelection made me realize that the American people are no different in their reactions than the employees and managers of the companies that I am attempting to save.
In any plan to resurrect an economy, as Mitt Romney proposed in his five point plan, a majority of people must first come to grips with the reality of the difficulties that they face. While the difficulties may have been obvious to those of us who describe ourselves as fiscal conservatives, the election results convinced me that the American people have not yet reached that same conclusion.
We are a creative and vibrant people who believe in Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Those three magical ingredients will fuel our rebirth. It is sad, though, that we need a rebirth when death was avoidable.

However, it also appears that Bill Ayers will finally have the anti-capitalist gulags he planned in the Weather Underground.
We are gonna rebuild with what?
The mix of northern white liberals and the brown invasion?
God...people are so frigging stupid still.
it is over...our way of life...we are outnumbered and getting more so every day
we can only take back our land and culture by being willing to fight for it
and from what I see around me here...a tall order indeed
Yup
>> We are a creative and vibrant people who believe in Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness
That’s right. And let that be a reminder to any pussy craphole that’s given up the Country.
Thank you, SR. That needed saying.
Why do people even say stupid sh** like this anymore? The people who actually care about liberty are in the ever-shrinking minority. Our future is that of a balkanized 3rd world totalitarian nation with nukes.
The new America you see ain’t happening. We’re headed towards Communism.
True enough. But I wouldn't be surprised if even these relatively innocuous comments were putting us on the government watch lists. It's an ugly age of data-driven government oversight of the citizenry.
>> >> Buck up, people. We can take on these giants...

Tired of the jackwagons condemning our Country to the abyss of despair.
During the American Revolution, a third of the colonists supported the revolution, another third opposed it, and yet another third didn't care one way or the other. Only 3% of the population actually picked up a gun and fired at the British.
Sometimes I think the percentages haven't changed a bit. It's no wonder that so few of us (even on this board) seem to have the willingness and courage to spit in the devil's eye.
To me the enemy is the democrat party.
Just a few of the literally millions of things democrats have done to destroy this country , turn the U.S.A into a socialist/communist 3rd world country and destroy our freedom
1. The media has ruled this country for the last 100 years and at least 90% of the media are democrats and the democrats have controlled the media for 100 years.
2. Obama is a democrat and we all DO see what this criminal has done to America.
3. Democrats controlled Congress for 40 years before the Republicans finally gained a SIMPLe not a super majority in 1992. So in those 40 years the democrat Congresses built this huge government and momentum for communism. the worst ACT was probably their 1965 immigration act which gave changed immigration to come from the 3rd world mainly Mexico and Latin America so that they imported 80 million foreign potential democrat voters since then. the nail in the coffin was Obamacare which all democrats voted for and not a single Republican did vote for that.
America is gone but the traditions will be seen elsewhere, if civilization survives.
It’s certain we won’t see any ‘rebirth” in our future.
We’ve been on a long slow grind toward oblivion. Americans have become decadent having turned their backs on God.
God has no interest in saving our country. Save your soul countries always whither.
That would be true in the past but what can Burke say when an America hating minority dependent population overrules the producers?
Rome collapsed under similar circumstances.
"There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain."
(From Babylon 5)
No, the countries that will support us, and there are many, will be more in line with those in power.
China, Venezuela, North Korea, Cuba, Iran...
Adams was pretty clearly wrong.
There are numerous examples of peoples losing their liberty through conquest or usurpation by one group or another, and then regaining it. In fact, with rare exceptions any people that is free today has been through such events.
Of course, doing so usually requires going through one or more cycles of war and/or revolution.
France, England (Civil War), Ireland, Germany, Poland, Russia, Finland, the Baltics, Czech Republic, Mexico and just about any Latin American country you care to name, Romania, Croatia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, etc.
Obamas goal was to have the Country Collapse,it will be rebuilt in His Image,Not George Washingtons
The original colonies were basically communist and failed because people at that time were lazy. A certain percentage of the population has always been lazy.
The only difference now is the lazy people control the policy. Change that and America will return.
Statistically speaking, no we aren't. That ship sailed.
Too true. Too many Americans now believe in Life (when it isn't inconvenient like a baby, but poor puppies must never be hurt), Liberty (to do what ever sick perversion that comes to mind and screw the kids that may become involved), and Pursuit of Hedonism.
We are the declining Roman Empire but haven't the wisdom to know what comes next.
