LONG BEACH - Dina Perrone likes to talk about sex, specifically how laws are used to control, regulate and prohibit sex and sexuality.
For example, in her "Sex, Sexuality, Crime & Punishment" course Perrone, an assistant professor in Cal State Long Beach's criminal justice department, will discuss Lawrence v. Texas, the United States Supreme Court's 2003 landmark decision making gay and lesbian sexual activity legal in every state.
"Sex, Sexuality, Crime & Punishment" will be one of the courses students can take toward the university's new Queer Studies minor, which will be available Fall 2013.

Then deep in debt with student loans they’ll wonder why they can’t get a job with their precious degree.
Well, at least it would qualify one for a position as a San Francisco politician.
And let us not forget that the dorks pursuing this joke of a degree will most probably do it by borrowing your...oops, the government’s money.
Pack that fudge, babes.
Which basically translates to, all heterosexual males are rapists....
ayep! that oughtta get you a nice well paying career....
a degree in Prostitution , they’ll be rich ,oh wait it would have to be nonprofit Prostitution
LOL
The sad thing is they probably will be able to get a job, in a company's HR department. Particularly if gay or minority.
Oh yeah .... we know that. Pedophilia and bestiality must also be normalized. So much to accomplish ... so little time.
I can’t get a job with my queer studies degree, that’s so gay!
I was a student there some 30 years ago. There are many good programs of study at this university, but back then the History and Political Science departments seemed to be full of leftists. I would imagine it has only gotten worse since then.
The only job that’ll get them is teaching queer studies 101.
I'm sure there will be plenty of government jobs for these people.
Yeah, after I posted my comment I realized I was still living in the past when sanity still had a foothold in this country. My mistake. I need to get with the times.
With a paid research position to study the dynamics of truck-stop bathrooms.
the solution is really simple.
just announce that no applicant with a california degree will be considered for employment.
Even if only a few business make this announcement, it will chill all of the calilfornia universities.
Very disgusted. I went to CSULB as well. Graduated in 1987. In that year, George Deukmejian, who was from Long Beach, was governor. But guess who was the commencement speaker at my graduation? For some reason they chose Assembly Speaker Willie Brown from San Francisco. Ruined my graduation to say the least. The universities are pathetic.
Why does no one on the right confront the loudmouths on the left, and ask them directly, without letting them weasel out of it, how they can embrace multiculturalism and specifically islam on one hand, and sexual promiscuity and homosexuality on the other, and see no inconsistency or incompatability with those two views?

I grad’ed CSULB in 2000. I wrote a conservative article supporting Prop 22 (no gay marriage) under a nomme de plume and was very glad I did so when my gay Critical Theory professor very angrily derided my opinion in front of the whole class. Thanks be to God he never found out that it was I who wrote the article or he would have flunked me out of class immediately.
No thanks! I prefer to study wymen. I mean, women.

BTW, the professor in question was one Clifton Snider, who got in trouble in 2004 for docking some students in his class for disagreeing with him.
