IF, by some miracle, a Republican gains control of the White House and Republicans retake the Senate, could this obamanation of a law still be repealed? Or will it have taken to great of a hold to where we just have to live with it?
“I won’t comply.”
Funny stuff there. Maybe they’ll reserve a room for you right next to Irwin Schiff in the graybar hotel.
Empty words annoy me.
The individual mandate for the first few years is only $95 per year (till about 2016) so for young healthy males it makes no sense for them to buy health insurance under O-care rules.
“IF, by some miracle, a Republican gains control of the White House and Republicans retake the Senate, could this obamanation of a law still be repealed? Or will it have taken to great of a hold to where we just have to live with it?”
The only way that Obamacare would be repealed is that it is so horribly implemented that everyone in the US is negatively impacted, including the media. Then, the media would inform the stupid public that it’s Obamacare that is screwing up their life. Then, the media would have to endorse Republicans so that in 2016 the GOP holds the House, Senate and White House.
Anything short of that, and it’s here to stay. I’d say you have better chances with a powerball ticket.
I, for one am not counting on a miracle....
....the 47+% are sitting out there like a big steaming pile of dog shit, ignorant, uneducated and oblivious of anything going on around them.....and worse, their votes count as much as any other American's or illegal aliens..
...the miracle would be that somehow they were all lured to some other place on election day other than the polling place, or EVERYONE of their 'rat "rat handlers" ran out of gas, or money and couldn't deliver their vote..
....OR...
...the really big miracle would be that somehow their vote didn't count since they could not prove that they had a lifetime of positive tax payments to the US treasury...in Obama's language...they had "skin in the game".
We should have been able to take the Senate over if it hadn’t been for those idiots who sat on their butts instead of going out and vote
“We should have been able to take the Senate over if it hadnt been for those idiots who sat on their butts instead of going out and vote”
Those who stayed home are stupid, plain and simple. While voting and ignoring the POTUS race was an option, it’s still a stupid one. And anyone who says Romney would have done what Obama is doing in his second term is stupid, stone cold, stupid.
We made a big mistake in attacking Obamacare in the courts by focusing on the jugular known as the individual mandate.
Ignoring the remaining 2599 pages of unconstitutional provisions and mandates meant that if we missed the jugular, the entire law would be upheld by the Supreme Court by default because they had no stomach for ruling on the entire bill.
It is now time for us to demonstrate to the Supreme Court why THEY TOO must protect and defend the constitution, because they have opened themselves up to an entire slew of follow up challenges to the law that will eventually force them to either reverse their own decision or literally shred the constitution before our eyes.
Republican COWARDS in congress depended upon We The People for a 2nd mandate at the polls to reverse this POS legislation. Now they will pay the price.
The only good thing about Obamacare is that it will ween the American consumer off of healthcare insurance alltogether... which is really the primary reason healthcare costs have gotten so high to begin with.
I for one will not comply either.
I will do so by claiming exemption for religious reasons.
Christians like Muslims believe that insurance is a form of gambling... therefore, I claim the same right that Muslims have under the law to exemption for that reason.
Denying me that same right defined for Muslims in Obamacare would be unconstitutional under the establishment of religion clause.
The most sensible alternative to the horrors of Obamacare are boiled down to one thing: set up an American created and run medical enclave just south of the border in Mexico.
To start with, the enclave would work on a cash basis, no insurance, USG funding, or other such expensive nonsense. As has been seen in the US, cash only medical care is only half as expensive.
It would have a much better legal environment to operate in, lots of qualified, English speaking Mexican medical personnel and support staff, with American physicians and surgeons, much less expensive pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.
It would also be in a secure area, to keep out riff raff from both sides of the border. American built hospitals and accommodations, and likely a nursing home housing area for rehabilitation and extended care (at just a fraction of the US cost).
All told, it would be a win-win, for everybody but the socialist Obamacare types.
It amazes me that the party of lazy losers (takers) had the motivation to get out and vote whereas the the party of ambition and opportunity (makers) couldn’t be bothered to get out and vote.

Let them throw me in jail for non-compliance. I'm old,I'll cash out my retirement and give it to my kids and go to jail where I'll get three squares, free room and medical, TV and clothing. Yeah! Throw me into the briarpatch there Br'er Fox.
It's just a matter of time before Congress collapses under the barrage of complaints concerning their health care plan.
We have two Democrat Senators in Virginia. They will, in due course, rue the day they ran for public office ~ I for one will shortly begin my physical health complaint of the week ~ copy to each!
Won’t comply? How so? I don’t like the income tax and would like to not comply either...but I also like living in my house instead of a federal prison.
You might not be aware but medical tourism is already well established and growing.
Several Central American countries have already established close relationships with established American medical institutions and have built hospitals. Also, you don't have to pay cash. International health insurance is offered by several companies.
One recommendation I would offer is drop your insurance in the USA, buy an international plan, establish a relationship with a Doctor who has admitting privileges at a hospital you like and in the event something bad happens and you can't leave the USA buy insurance from an exchange on the way to a hospital. I doubt most people will do this, but some will and 15 years from now we will read stories about how "unfair" it is that they have better healthcare.
I won’t comply either. And yes, I’m willing to go to jail over this. Some things are more important than comfort.
Pardon my skepticism, but I’ll believe it when I see it.
Exactly my prediction after Obama was re-elected.
On one condition: The Republicans in question would have to be those who have a spine and a brain. In other words, it would be highly unlikely.
Oh the party of ambition and opportunity producers voted all right. WE WAS ROBBED! Just like in so many other elections of the last decades. And until the American People grow the cajones to accept that fact, and actually do something about it, our country will continue to be stolen and dismantled right in front of our disbelieving eyes.
