Walmart workers laud their wage protest as success

SECAUCUS, New Jersey - Walmart workers hailed their wage protest Saturday, saying their walkout on Black Friday had shown the worlds largest retailer their determination to fight against all odds.
Hundreds of protesters targeted Walmart stores across the United States on Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year, accusing the bargain superstore of ripping off its own employees. The protests were designed to disrupt the Black Friday shopping frenzy, after Thursdays Thanksgiving holiday, when deep discounts pull in waves of customers.
Todays protests at Walmart stores across the country are a reminder of the enormous power of working people uniting to demand a better future with a living wage, affordable healthcare and respect on the job, said Mary Kay Henry, president of the 2.1 million-member Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

Bunk.
No one even noticed the protesters except as a handful of loud-mouthed morons at the front door handing out fliers.

If Walmart is so anti union why is every super center in China unionized? They “partnered” with the DOT to rewrite the logistics carrier laws, that they wrote to put every other business and private carrier at a financial disadvantage. They were a major proponent of Obamacare. They were a major proponent of increase of the minimum wage. Their former international CE violated international law and when he was caught they promoted him. They contract the cheapest electronic hardware, so cheap that the manufacturers don't back their own products. I don't understand why they are held so dear on this forum.

I can tell you from experience they are not on our side. They chose to comply instead of fight. If Mr. Sam were still alive I would say differently.

Thanks for the link, great comments there.
I’m aware of the practice, just not by diamond name, and have attended “community input” (*snort*) meetings that have obviously used it.
