'It may be difficult to believe, but according to research published next month a world without war may be getting nearer.
Futurologists from the University of Oslo in Norway and the Peace Research Institute Oslo have predicted that global conflict will halve in the next 40 years.
Their study claims the combination of higher education, lower infant mortality, smaller youth cohorts, and lower population growth are a few of the reasons why the world can expect a more peaceful future.
That will mean in the next five years the current conflicts in Libya, Tajikistan, Syria, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Mauritania and Iraq will probably be over, the research suggests.
As the risk of war decreases worldwide, by 2017 it will be greatest in India, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Uganda and Burma.
And by 2050, as the number of countries at war falls from one in six to one in 12, the risk of conflict will be greatest in India, Nigeria, Sudan, Ethiopia and Tanzania.'

No changing human nature.

All wars could be over tomorrow, if those that love Freedom and Liberty would simply submit to those who want to rule us and kill us.
I suspect this scientist also works on the Global Warming fantasy.
We hardly have peace in our neighborhoods, let alone around the world. We started killing each other when we came out of the caves and we have gotten very good at it. There will not be sustainable world peace until we are all dead.....
Junk science.
Amazingly stupid.
The specter of a an Islamic world conquest is bright
before their eyes and they write it off.
Foolish.
It all has to do with what the actual meaning of “war” is to these jokers.
Everything is being defined down or redefined these days.
“Man Caused Disaster”, “Overseas Contingency Operation”, etc. ring a bell?
When “scientists” are predicting that war is on the decline that leads me to believe that we are probably on the cusp of WW3. Conflict is too ingrained to human nature to go away anytime soon so any waning in its outward exhibition is just saving up for a big blowout.
Ok.

Funny how the article fails to mention that 800-lb gorilla.
War will increase, scripture says, until the return of the messiah.
Men and demons just can’t help themselves.
There is one really big battle left.
The war to end wars, the mother of all wars....
It will be so bad that it will need external supervision to save the world.
Somebody is dropping acid and other drugs! Current conflicts will be replaced by bigger conflicts, unless there is a big famine and the muslims eat each other until they're all gone. Muslims don't need an excuse to make war; it's in their nature and they'll always attack, rape, murder and destroy.
Ivory tower scholars have a terribly poor track record about predicting war and peace.
A much more realistic attitude can be found in the opinions of warriors, the people who actually fight the wars.
The reason for this is simple. If the ivory tower scholar is wrong, by then, nobody will care. But if the warrior is wrong, he and those warriors he cares about could get killed.
The trouble begins when politicians listen to the scholars instead of the warriors. Being erudite and long-winded is no substitute for being right.
They think the opposite of this is true for me.
The only good mozlum is a dead mozlum.
So, as long as izlum exists, there will be war.
“global conflict will halve in the next 40 years.”
So, half the worlds Muslims will be gone in 40 years?
My predication of WWIII is probably a lot, and I mean a lot better bet...
Just like obunghole said Alquida is on it’s heels and terrorism is on the wane. Like Al Gore coming to NYC in a blizzard to speak about global warming. If it’s not reported it’s not happening. The world is looking much rosier today, thank you scientists who were told to follow the agenda or the money stops
All praise to Hillary and Obama! The Middle East conflict is ended!
