There is nothing wrong with Black Friday. Save for the fact that it seems to bring out behaviors that may well have perplexed Neanderthals. One example might be that of a man who pulled a gun on a line-cutter at a Sears in San Antonio, Texas.
Another might be the following joyous, spirit-lifting tale from Springfield, Mass.
According to police, 34-year-old Anthony Perry was very much excited by a 51-inch TV at his local K-Mart.
He allegedly drove to the mall at around 1:30 a.m., his girlfriend's 2-year-old in tow.
As WWLP News tells it, the police claim Perry then bought the TV, didn't go back to his car, and left the 2-year-old inside it.

Springfield, Massachusetts translation:
The live-in boyfriend of a welfare queen, who is working under the table, allegedly drove to the mall with a big wad of cash, at around 1:30 a.m., his girlfriend’s 2-year-old in tow...
He had no biological attachment to the child
I guess the free birth control and obamaphones weren’t enough?
All year long I do my best to avoid stores. Of course occasionally I have to go to the store to buy something that is needed and occasionally something that is wanted. And of course Crazy Frantic Shopper Season comes along and I will do my best to do without until it is over.
This sounds like the bigger mystery. How did he get a 51" TV home without his own car? Take a bus? Walk?
Me too.
Here’s another example of poor phrasing. “He allegedly drove to the mall at around 1:30 a.m., his girlfriends 2-year-old in tow.”
Does this mean he dragged the kid behind the car?
I read it the same way. Figured the kid could crawl beneath everybody’s legs and get an edge on beating everybody to the best TV deal.
I have to admit, leaving a 2 year old to buy a TV on his own is probably a bit too much,....a 5 year old,...maybe....;^)
And to think I grew up seemingly half my childhood in a locked up pickup, with windows cracked, then when Mom/Dad got back, rode in the back of the pickup with the dog some 40 miles home to the ranch after we made our weekly grocery/supply run....by today’s standards we shouldn’t have ever made it...
Not to worry,..if he keeps driving around town in 1st gear, he’ll burn out his tranny. ;^)
Just another member of the voting American public.
Verbal mayhem is fun.
Did the two year old haggle a great deal before being left inside the TV?
Good thing it was a 51” model.
This whole article was a word-salad.
I went to Walmart about 10:00 a.m. yesterday, and it was almost empty of customers. I saw a couple of people buying large electronic items, but most were getting their usual groceries.
The two middle-aged Indian cashiers, Subhash and Satish, were standing by the National Enquirer rack gossipping in their native language when I showed up with my cart (and Pat).
“It is not too much of a stretch to think that some idiot left his two year old standing in his place in a line.”
English major here. Thought the same thing.
A friend of mine actually went to Walmart Thursday night to get a TV. She stood in line for 2 hrs along with 1000 others. She told me.....I thought the economy was bad but they were all buying TV’s. I told her.....you still don’t get it. If we are paying for their welfare/unemployment, food, and medical care they have more cash than we do to buy their iphone 5’s and 50 inch TV’s.
It's true. I had more entertainment dollars in high school, working a part-time job, than I do now, making a very good salary.
“Man accused of leaving 2-year-old to buy 51-inch TV”
What thinking person would leave a 2-year-old to buy a television. At that age they don’t even have credit cards.
May be so..but this cretin didn't just begin to do stuff like this so she had warnings that he was unreliable. Imo.
If ‘black Friday’ is racist; then why did God make snow white?
