Though realistically, what will first happen is decriminalization, which in a way has already happened in the sense that so long as someone doesn’t have a marriage license to any number of women, well, he can have sex and kids with pretty much as many women as he wishes, and have unofficial polygamy in the meantime. Hey, how about asking John Edwards or Hugh Hefner how the whole deal of polygamy without a marriage license works?
