Jeb Bush in 2016? Not Too Early for Chatter
New York Times ^ | Nov 25 2012 | JIM RUTENBERG and JEFF ZELENY

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Now that the Obama and Romney campaigns have closed their headquarters in Chicago and Boston, the attention of the political world is shifting to an office suite tucked behind the colonnades of the Biltmore Hotel complex here.

The suite is where former Gov. Jeb Bush manages his consulting business, his education foundation and, now, the (very) early decision-making process for a possible presidential run in 2016.

No, tell the owner the suggestions that you are making to me, I’m not interested in your plans to end the racism that you claim to see on freerepublic.

Bore him, not me.

Don’t reply to my posts anymore, and I won’t post my ideas to you. Deal?

Something tells me that you have no intention of making your claims and suggestions to the owner.

Maybe that something should give you a rebuttal to my point that what's posted at Free Republic goes far and wide. After all, what I've posted was not to show that FR was racist (I said the opposite) but was in response (in part) to your comments here.

But don't worry, I understand that you need to change the subject because you can't answer it.

To answer your comment above, Free Republic pulled that thread and several posts for that reason. They don't need me to tell them to do something they're already doing.

I don't believe Free Republic in itself is a racist web site, but I've seen the cracks about Michelle Obama being compared to a monkey. Like it or not, that has roots in our countriy's racist past, and that's how it will be taken by outsiders. When we go posting crap like that while supporting Conservative candidates, guess what gets reflected on our Conservative candidates.
I'll probably be banned for posting all of this, but if Freepers get the message that what they post can hurt our cause, it would be worth it.

Freerepublic isn't racist, it didn't cost the conservatives the presidency, and you haven't been banned.

Now we're getting somewhere.

Freerepublic isn't racist

Agreed.

it didn't cost the conservatives the presidency

My point was that negative posts can be reflected on our candidates, but I agree with you here, too. The Conservative candidates in the primaries either self destructed or were non-factors, and Romney could only be called a Conservative when being compared to Obama.

But I think the biggest reason we lost is because we had too many takers. The unions wanted their man in government, the Flukes wanted their free birth control (abortions), the college grads with $120,000 invested in worthless liberal arts degrees wanted their loans forgiven, the gays wanted their lifestyles legitimized, it goes on and on. I doubt even Reagan could have won in 2012. In 1980, we wanted to be put back to work. In 2012, many just wanted the government money to keep flowing, never mind that we can't keep this up.

and you haven't been banned.

Yet.
