What does Mexico for children of people who illegally immigrate there?
We need to reframe the argument as, “All we want is to have the same immigration policy that Mexico has.”
Who could argue with that?
It’s like someone breaking into your home with their family, and setting up in your basement.
You find them there and demand that they and there kids leave your property but you are then told by the mayor that the kids didnt do anything wrong, and their parents cant leave because it will split up the family, so they get to all stay and you will have to pay for the electricity and water that they use.
The headline says, “Children of illegal immigrants,” but the article is referring to kids who are illegal immigrants. The headline should call them illegal immigrants.
I live in Illinois. In 2003, the Illinois legislature passed a law that states that illegal aliens may attend stae universities and pay in-state tuition. Only one state senator voted no. That was a Republican, Chris Lauzen, and he’s part Hispanic.
We already have about 2 million legal foreign workers here on temporary work visas now. We bring in 1.2 million legal permanent immigrants a year, 87% of whom are minorities as defined by the USG. Minorities and immigrants overwhelmingly vote Democrat.
By 2019 half of the children 18 and under in the U.S. will be classified as minorities and by 2042, half of the residents of this country will be minorities. Generally, immigrants and minorities vote predominantly for the Democrat Party. Hence, Democrats view immigration as a never-ending source of voters that will make them the permanent majority party.
The real question that needs to be asked is whether we need 1.2 million legal immigrants every year. There is no correlation between the number of jobs created and the number and types of legal immigrants. The decade ending in 2010 was the highest in our history in terms of the number of legal permanent immigrants admitted, 13.9 million, yet during that same period we suffered a net loss of jobs of 400,000. This is insanity.
The plan is to get them into the indoctrination process and get them hooked.
BARF ALERT needed.
Response: And free rent payments, free contraception. free medical care, free food, a free cell phone and computer, free clothing, free utilities and a "right" to vote three times in each election.
Thus, the staff of the Boston Globe have all decided to tithe their paychecks, to create a fund to give grants to illegal aliens that wish to attend college. And they are being joined in this by Governor Patrick, who is donating a substantial amount of his income to this purpose as well.
Well yes, yes they are. They are innocent of their parents crime, and to not give those innocent children such benefits would be heartless...I mean according to the logic of our utterly insane ruling class that is.
According to Bobby Jindal, if we want people to like us then we have to like them first.
Well, only one particular group of Americans, namely, white males. There is affirmative action of some sort for every other group. There are race-based scholarships. There are athletic scholarships which mostly benefit black males. White males have to do it the old-fashioned way-pay their way and make the grades.
Unless they’re majoring in the hard disciplines, college is just indoctrination anyway. White males are mostly represented in those kinds of courses. Somebody has to actually learn the stuff that keeps the nation functioning. There won’t be enough jobs for all the Samoan transgender midget womyn’s studies majors.
And the definition of a “kid” is extremely elastic these days. A 26 yo is defined as a “kid” qualified to be on his parents health insurance. A 30 yo woman who shows her azz and publishes it for all the world to see is called a “girl”.
When I said, “kids,” I meant “minors,” since people who apply for college are usually 17 or 18.
BS. They deserve to be taken back to their home countries. This amnesty crap will end badly for all of us.
How many will go back home after piling up a ton of student loan debt (US Gov’t backed) and finding out they can’t find a job here.. or will they get preferential hiring too like Holders people?
By the same token, any child born in a state with fewer colleges available, such as Wyoming or Nevada, (through “no fault of their own”), “deserves” to be given “in-state” tuition to colleges in college-rich states such as California.
Rick's a trend setter.
Got a better idea. Give the children of American Citizens and legal immigrants an “affordable education” then see what leftovers are available for the children of invading barbarians.
With rights come responsibilities.
Let’s re-instate a draft, and then watch as these “children of undocumented
immigrants” mysteriously disappear when something is asked of them. I and my family either have served, are serving, or are willing to die defending our country. We have a vested interest, we all have jobs,we work, we pay taxes and raise our families.
If someone wants something from the Gov’t; I say that they should be also willing to sacrifice for the sake of our country and Gov’t - and that sacrifice may mean time spent in a foreign land, being wounded or making the ultimate sacrifice.
Unfortunately, I would bet you a steak dinner at the restaurant of your choice, that many of these so-called friends would sneak back across the border if asked to protect this country they so desperately want to live off of. Let’s call them what they are - parasites.
If they are willing to serve a tour of duty, the same as any of our bravest and best - by all means, move them to the front of the line and grant them citizenship the day they have completed their first tour. If not - they need to go home.
I agree with your post outright.
I do think that a great majority would indeed return to where they came fomr rather than defedn, but to those who would put their life on the line for American freedom, I must say that I would be in favor of granting citizenship to them.
Honestly, to me that is a fantastic idea.
