In The Islamic Antichrist, Joel Richardson reveals that the return of the Islamic Imam of the 12th century is none other than the Antichrist of Revelation. Every preacher in America should read this book. Tim Lahaye
Obviously no prophecy scholar is infallible, and I may differ with all of them on certain certain things.
The point remains that Reagan’s critique of the Muslim Antichrist theory is a very good one. I also posted a link quoting others such as Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum and Dr. Mark Hitchcock who give reasons why they too reject the Muslim Antichrist theory.
Here again are the links, for anyone interested to read point-by-point critiques of the Muslim Antichrist theory:

Will the Antichrist be a Muslim? No.

Thanks. I believe it, but it’s almost too scary to forward. I’m letting a more learned mind review it first.
I truly felt sorry for the newsmen, several years ago, who had to accept allah before they would be released from one of the middle eastern countries. I would rather die.
Here is an early response by Richardson:

A Response to Dr. David Reagan By Joel Richardson
January 11, 2009 in Updates
Six Hundred, six score and six, better known as 666.
You mean “threescore”.
So you know for sure that “There is no god but Allah” translates to 666?
Yes, thanks. As you know, that was written almost 2 years before Dr. Reagan presented his paper in December 2010 at the Pre-Trib Research Center Conference -
http://www.pre-trib.org/data/pdf/Reagan-AnEvaluationoftheMus.pdf - So I’m assuming that Reagan’s paper takes into account Richardson’s Jan. 2009 comments.
It’s interesting to see the globalists in the US and Europe bow down to Islam and Obama putting Islamic jihadists in power in the Middle East.
Europe’s leaders show preference to jihadists and permit them to commit crimes against the infidels around them (most notably, the raping of white females). They permit them their own courts. In the meantime, our own elitists in unity with the EU and UN pigs, are calling for America to be placed under Shaira speech control laws as Europe already is. Our elitists - both parties - have rejected the controls and rights of the constitution and that is a necessary big step for the anti-christ to operate here.
In addition, Western elitists don’t lift a finger while Islamists slaughter Christians in the Middle East and Africa. They don’t say a word about the oppression of women.
So the anti-christ does not have to actually be an Arab. He could be a man from Europe who shows preference for Muslims and gives them dominance over all people via Sharia law in order to enslave the natives of Europe and America who would oppose him. Muslims would make great shock troops, enforcers...mass murderers. Bambam is importing them like a mad man to America.
Either you take the mark of allah or you die. I can easily see liberals “progress” there. They love total control and oppression and see Christians as their central enemy. Leftists have a history of slaughtering Christians; it is where they naturally gravitate. They have already ‘progressed’ to hate Israel and are siding with jihadists against the Joooos. Some Catholic “interfaith” leaders condmen Israel and perfer jihadists as well.
That is the path we are on, if we are close to the end times. Real Christians won’t take the mark of the demon, allah. Luke warm “Christians” will rationalize an excuse for themselves like they do all other sin.
I think it’s important for Christians and Jews to resist the chip technology because it is what they will use for total social and economic control and oppression during the time of the anti-Christ. They could easily incorporate the mark into that chip and if you don’t take it, you have no money and can not earn, buy or sell. They want to ditch paper funny money and go totally electronic.
Yes I do, Thanks
Cutting of the head is effective, and crucifixion is guaranteed painul.
I agree, clearly this number is involved in some manner whatever else it may be,
My conjectures are:
Someone has always been ready to perform this role in every generation, the spirit of Antichrist is at work in the world and was even in John’s day,
Its that spirit, that denies that Jesus came in the flesh as the Son of God and is sitting at the right hand of the Father that we should be looking for and rebuking. If you visit the dome of the rock on the temple mount, you can see this same spirit written in beautiful script across the top of it, denying Jesus.
And its that spirit that’s growing in this country as I’ve never seen before. Whoever will be in that role at the end as personages (there are two working together not just one) gets 2520 days of power while half of that time God is pouring out his judgement on the Earth and his authority,
The ‘man of sin’ ‘son of perdition’ is not revealed until the restrainer is no longer restraining, it’s really a desperation move by Satan. This world is already his, so consider whats really going on here that he needs this, whats changed,
And because God has made the consequences so dire and absolute for those taking the ‘mark of the beast’ (And I understand he comes with all manner of lying signs and wonders and would deceive even the very elect if it were possible) I suspect when it reaches the point to buy and sell, that it wont be overly difficult to perceive what it is, and I say that mostly because of the number of those standing before the throne that wont accept it and have been killed refusing it. How many could any of us find today willing to die for their faith? Satan knows his time is almost up and is blatant,
I believe the arrival of the necessary global political/economic conditions and technology is a better indicator of who and a time marker for where we are prophetically,
“in your right hand or in your forehead
Certainly things like RFID technology, IPv6 and scan-able tattoos are heading us in that direction, and whatever it is ultimately, it always required computers/internet and wireless communication to come into being if its not merely a spiritual application, see Ezekiel Chapter 9, Satan is just pretending to be God again, which is all he’s ever done, and of course God seals the 144,000 in their foreheads from the 12 tribes during the tribulation period,
I also have to wonder whether its not even more sinister, because most people (today) are not about to take an RFID chip in the right hand/forehead for any reason. I wonder where biometrics is going. For example with the Ipad3 having the technology already built-in for retina scans, its now becoming more common place, and I wonder if we could consider that everyone already has a retina mark in their forehead? No need to raise alarm with the masses and have them insert a device with stored information etc., we have cloud computing/internet database storage now, etc, the global banking system just requires the identity markers and then for us to accept it for identification, just a conjecture,
Years ago I watched a news story about ENIAC with 18,000 vacuum tubes built in 1947, the reporter was interviewing some historian and he made the comment that it ‘was the first computer’ and was immediately corrected, and was told that in fact the ‘man operating it was actually the computer.’ I didn’t know that, but was immediately reminded of Revelation 13, “. . for it is the number of a man . .” The ‘law of first mention’ in the Bible, I think is real, that is, that God lets us name things on the Earth and that’s what he calls something them after that, if the application of the mark is physical, and I believe it is (as well as spiritual) then computers will certainly play a significant role in its implementation/application,
Whatever it is, we still need the right global conditions/economic upheaval to institute this new monetary system:
As to the video on the link,
I think its interesting. I’ve seen similar videos in the past, however it seems to dismiss the numbers too readily, and there’s much more to that specific number than many realize,
The number 666 is from Solomons tribute, from Nebuchadnezzar’s image and from the sons of Adonikim, these patterns are repeating, and will repeat again I suspect,
Additionally there appears to be an interesting structure of days accounted for with this number, beginning with the Temple “desolation” timeline beginning on the 9th of AV August 16, 587 BC and is 665.555 years to the 9th of AV August 10th, 70AD (its missing exactly 160 days to be 666 years x 360 days) between the two Temple destruction’s,
Additionally and separately,
From Israel’s Babylonian captivity, which I believe began on July 23, 606 BC,
It’s precisely 646 years (232,560 days) to Wednesday, April 9th, 32 AD, the very day which I believe Jesus was crucified on, leaving 7200 days or 20 years (age of accountability?) x 360 days exactly (short) to be 666 years from the captivity timeline, and yet separate from the temple desolation timeline above etc., what that means I can only guess at,
There is more to be found here, and of course its all just conjecture,
Dr. Reagan’s paper includes these comments on beheading:
“... the Bible says the Antichrist will behead those who resist him, and Richardson spends an entire chapter emphasizing that execution by beheading is one of the cardinal characteristics of Islam...
“... The point about beheading is flimsy evidence at best. Beheading is not a unique characteristic of Islam. It was one of the stellar characteristics of the French Revolution, and is just the type of horror the Antichrist would institute, regardless of his nationality or religion.”

I'll have to disagree with you on that one.
How the apostles visions were recorded, and how modern biblical scholars have interpreted what he was saying seem to change as time passes. Maybe you are one of those biblical scholars and have studied Greek, if so, my hat is off to you sir.
I find what Walid Shoebot has to say about "666" more believable and convincing, especially in light of recent events (such as the spread of Islamism)
Let me try this again. John clearly says in 13:18 that it is a number (three times actually) not a symbol. You can check any bible translation you like (below are 17 of them) they all translate that verse almost exactly the same way.
Revelation 13:18
(ASV) Here is wisdom. He that hath understanding, let him count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man: and his number is Six hundred and sixty and six.
(Bishops) Here is wisdome. Let hym that hath witte, count ye number of the beast: For it is the number of a man, & his number is sixe hundred threescore and sixe.
(CEV) You need wisdom to understand the number of the beast! But if you are smart enough, you can figure this out. Its number is six hundred sixty-six, and it stands for a person.
(Darby) Here is wisdom. He that has understanding let him count the number of the beast: for it is a man’s number; and its number is six hundred and sixty-six.
(DRB) Here is wisdom. He that hath understanding, let him count the number of the beast. For it is the number of a man: and the number of him is six hundred sixty-six.
(EMTV) Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of man—his number is 666.
(ESV) This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.
(Geneva) Here is wisdome. Let him that hath wit, count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man, and his number is sixe hundreth threescore and sixe.
(ISV) In this case wisdom is needed: Let the person who has understanding calculate the total number of the beast, because it is a human total number, and the sum of the number is 666.
(KJV) Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
(KJV-1611) Here is wisedome. Let him that hath vnderstanding, count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man, and his number is, sixe hundred threescore and sixe.
(MKJV) Here is the wisdom. Let him having reason count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. And its number is six hundred and sixty-six.
(Murdock) Here is wisdom: let him that hath intelligence, compute the number of the beast of prey; for it is the number of a man: and its number is six hundred and sixty and six.
(RV) Here is wisdom. He that hath understanding, let him count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man: and his number is Six hundred and sixty and six.
(Webster) Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty six.
(WNT) Here is scope for ingenuity. Let people of shrewd intelligence calculate the number of the Wild Beast; for it indicates a certain man, and his number is 666.
(YLT) Here is the wisdom! He who is having the understanding, let him count the number of the beast, for the number of a man it is, and its number is six hundred and sixty six.
I don’t disagree with you regarding where the a/c will be coming from or what the 4th beast of Daniel is but as I mentioned in my previous post to you it’s a number not a symbol.
Regarding “How the apostles visions were recorded” needlessly confuses the issue. John wrote down what he saw, nobody recorded it for him nor was there any confusion from the beginning. As I mentioned, Irenaeus just 100 years later looked at the passage the same way we see it today and even postulated on a few names that fit the criteria.
If your not familiar with Irenaeus he was a disciple of Polycarp who was a disciple of John himself. If anyone would have known what John meant around that time it would have been him.
Finally biblical scholars are always coming up with different interpretations from scripture and there is nothing wrong with that but if they don’t match up with scripture then they should be discarded.
