Tomb of the Unknown Soldier disrespect not tolerated
November 20, 2012 By: Scott Paulson
Taking the expression some people just dont think! to a new level, Lindsey Stone thought she was being funny when she posted a picture of herself giving the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery "the finger" - the middle finger - while appearing to shout at the national memorial in October. After posting the pic to Facebook, somehow thinking her friends would enjoy the photo, she most definitely found out otherwise. As of Monday, the backlash has been severe for Stone.
Veterans Day: Top Ten Patriotic Songs
After the tremendously negative reaction to the photo, she Facebook-messaged on October 20:

The new face of the left! She claims to be “defying authority,” yet I’d wager she voted as a leftard supporting Tyranny. She is demonstrating exactly why I regret sacrificing a decade of my life to protect the freedom of ALL citizens.
This is America -where this woman has the right to behave like an ungrateful, disrespectful, self-centered and uneducated person.
For the time being, she is also subject to the consequences of her behavior including the deserved public humiliation she is undergoing.
My punishment for her would be to go to ANY veteran’s hospital in the country and observe. For six months. She would learn what class, courage, respect and love ACTUALLY MEAN.
I don’t want to be the skunk at the picnic but I think this picture is a lot more innocent than it appears. First, given the place, it is a complete sacrilege, of course. But I think this yahoo chick was just reacting to the sign and trying to do the opposite of what it said. I think if it said keep off the grass she would be standing on the grass. I think that is all she was doing. She has given a written and (I think) heartfelt apology and her dad (whom she lives with) has backed her up. He is properly mortified. I don’t excuse this behavior at all. I have been to Arlington and it is a Church even in our secular world. I think when she fully realizes what she has done she too will be mortified. Sorry for rambling but I don’t think she meant it as a political statement at all. Doesn’t excuse it but it kind of explains it. I’d like to think our society has not hit this level of bottom yet.
Does anyone out there knows who in the hell this skank works for? A call in campaign or email or snail mail campaign needs to be done to get her fired.
Well, trying to find some saving grace in this disgraceful event......
at least no man has been stupid enough to put a ring on the finger of that disgusting sow.
Scum...
Who said she didn’t vote for him already?
No discipline...no common sense...you would be stunned at the number of adults in New England who act like they are five years old. They make your skin crawl...
I read in another article that she has been suspended from her job.
HEY LINDSEY!!!! YEAH YOU!!! CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?!!!
This kind of disrespect is NOT in any way like lighting up a smoke next to a NO SMOKING sign!!! Not at all!
And if that was what you call an apology, I sincerely hope you get fired!
“Freedom of speech applies to EVERYONE! Even jerks like this.”
No, it does not apply on company time.
When I think about how I or other veterans feel to have the deaths of those who gave their life for freedom feel to be disrespected I’m reminded about how Jesus must feel when atheists or others disrespect his death and sacrifice for all of us for freedom from the eternal consequences of sin.
I believe America’s days of being blessed by God are very short.
DON'T LOOK AT ME!
And people question why more and more American men are seriously looking at international dating.
My Dad used to tell me, "Son, it's not a joke unless everyone thinks it's funny."
This is a punishable offense; 32 CFR 553.22 - Visitors rules for the Arlington National Cemetery. (13) Engage in any disorderly conduct within the Cemetery grounds. For purposes of this section, a person shall be guilty of disorderly conduct if, with purpose to cause, or with knowledge that he is likely to cause, public inconvenience, annoyance or alarm...(iv) Utters to any person present abusive, insulting, profane, indecent or otherwise provocative language or gesture that by its very utterance tends to incite an immediate breach of the peace;
...so when will charges be pressed?
Full CYA mode. She's lucky she didn't get punched in the face, woman or not. A;though I think we can safely say she is no lady.
