I can’t believe I have never heard of the two Charlie Brown shows, I will make a point to see them.
I have to say that I completely agree w/ your last paragraph. Children today need the innocence and charm and love that IS Charlie Brown. I will never not cry when Linus reads those words. It is such a pure, beautiful moment and I think that is why it affects us so much.
Thank you for the wonderful reply. May you & your loved ones have a great Thanksgiving.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Most of the people in this country still make claims to having some sort of Christian affiliation.
That sort of mentality, that we HAVE to give equal time to everyone is ridiculous. No we don't. If you've fallen for that, you've been drinking too much liberal kool-aid.
Problem is, atheism is officially a religion, so those atheists who are demanding their way don't have ANY problem forcing THEIR religion on everyone else. By caving in to their thinking, you are promoting atheism in public schools.
It's a total myth that you can take a neutral position on God or moral issues.
Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act. DIETRICH BONHOEFFER
The atheist parents can be given the option of opting out of having their kids go. The kids can spend the time in the library, instead of forcing their beliefs on everyone else who WANTS to go.
Or they can homeschool their kids if they don’t like encountering religion in schools. They’re free to do so, just like it’s the option thrown in the face of every Christian parent who objects to the depraved content of public education today.
That part is the highlight of the movie.
Good for Schultz for sticking to his guns.
Wegman’s rocks. And that’s one of the reasons.
Gays started with saying that what they do in the privacy of their own bedroom is nobody else’s business and then have proceeded to make it everybody else’s business.
If they don’t like people’s reactions to their flaunting their sex lives in everyone’s face, they should just keep their mouths shut. Keep it in the bedroom where it doesn’t become everyone else’s business.
Ah, thank you. Just wasn’t sure, what with “diversity” being touted and white Christian men being spat on above.
Our country, our Constitution, and our Bill of Rights were not founded upon Hindu, Wiccan, Muslim, nor Voodoo religions, but rather on the Bible and Judeo-Christian values.
Your straw argument makes no sense.
Agreed.
It’s not just TMI. It’s fed and state and city laws forcing “tolerance/acceptance/celebration” of every aspect of the homo agenda on the rest of us by the force of law. That is the crux of the matter.
Knowing Race, I could see that. :O)
Great post. Thank you.
So much of what is wrong in people's lives is based on what they have decided is not possible. When hear that crap attributed to America.... Grrrr!
The real problem is that education is “public” (government-funded). If most schools were private, taking children to see a Christmas play at a church wouldn’t be an issue at all. The parents who wanted their children to see Christmas plays would enroll their children into schools that celebrated Christmas. Other parents would choose other schools. And everyone would be happy.
What was the name of that collection. Amazon has 5-6 different ones.
All is not lost. I think more than anything the media gives the impression that there is constant chaos going on in America. But when I walk out my front door and go into real life with all its new diversity everthing is great. Sometimes I think I am lucky and living in a bubble."
You are living in a fog. A fog where you fear losing your job for expressing a different (read: truthful) opinion, so you go along to get along, and after years of grinding on that, pretend how great it all is.
The stark reality is that each minority group you named has learned that identity politics is their way to power -- they could not bend Western Civiilization to their will, and so they intend to break it. Just because you drink coffee with these people doesn't mean sh!t.
