I’m already cooking, LOL! I made the cheesecake, and I’m in the process of making the stuffing bread. This is all low-carb cooking, even the cranberry sauce.

Bryan wants to start very early tomorrow morning so that we aren’t eating dinner at 8 p.m., as we sometimes do when we start cooking too late on Thanksgiving day.

It’s a pretty big production, but at least we don’t have to do anything but heat up leftovers for a week or more afterward.

Mr. T is substituting Splenda for any recipe that includes sugar. That's why he bought plain 100% pumpkin instead of "pumpkin pie filling". He may go out early tomorrow and try to get some heavy cream, to which he will also add Splenda. I love Thanksgiving.

We're also having oven roasted brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, turnip, homemade cranberry sauce, boiled onions and stuffing with raisins, celery and walnuts. Mr. T always puts as much of the stuffing into the bird as he can fit. It doesn't have the same taste otherwise. He does wait until the very last minute to add the stuffing, though.

Mmmm... That all sounds wonderful.

Ours is a little simpler, especially since it’s just the two of us. Turkey, stuffing (I have always made a meat stuffing as my mother used to) with giblets, hamburger, sausage, low-carb bread (instead of saltine crackers), onions, and spices, peas and pearl onions, yams (not candied, no marshmallows), cranberry sauce with sucralose, pumpkin pie, and cheesecake.

We always have heavy cream in the house, LOL! Always!

Isn’t this hilarious, in that we’re cooking for ourselves? I mean, just for you and Brian, and we’re cooking just for us...LOL.

Ours is not low-carb! I’ll be ever so sorry and be damning myself for the next week, but what the heck? I’ve already made a sweet potato pie.

Mr. T's stuffing is a bread-based stuffing as well. I can't believe that we don't have any heavy cream on hand. :(

No marshmallows on our sweet potatoes! :)
We're also having a romantic Thanksgiving. (just the two of us)

I love cheesecake.

He’s going very fancy! I always stuffed that bird full too, but right from the start.

I think that there may be just a wee bit too much hysteria about food these days. I remember eating cookie dough with raw eggs, and Caesar salads with a raw egg. No one ever got sick, that I can recall.
