From Joe Scarborough to John Heilemann, Katty Kay to Mark Halperin to Willie Geist, it was unanimous on today's Morning Joe. Whatever the substance, whatever the policy, Republicans would be making a massive political mistake by opposing the possible nomination of Susan Rice as Secretary of State.
Summed up Scarborough the MJ zeitgeist: "do a bunch of old white guys want to make their first big battle, post-election, a battle going up against a younger woman of color?" View the video after the jump.
JOHN HEILEMANN: The optics are obviously horrible, taking on an African-American woman in this way.
And in case anyone says the skin color card is worn out, it is NOT worn out. It is more effective than it ever was.
Joe, The Token White RINO
Mika has his brain in a Lock-Box
It’s like Mika said:
Once you get a RINO by his Pride And Joy, his heart and mind will follow.
Like Rush just said...this from the party that went out of their way to elect two white guys instead of one black woman (Mia Love) and a black man (Allen West).
They don’t care about race...it’s all about liberalism.
So long as obama is president, color is going to be the only thing that matters...in anything.
Politics is a rough business, and the only skin type that matters is the “thick” type.
If this woman, and her cohorts, can’t take the heat, they need to get out of the kitchen.
She wants all the rights and privilieges, but doesn’t want to suffer any of the slings and arrows...typical.
No matter what the facts, it will devolve into a rassiss homophobic argument anyway - a lesbian of color lying about the demise of a gay white ambassador. I guess we need to get used to it.
All I see is 4 dead Americans and a very obvious cover up. Dog whistles be damned.
I don’t care if she is orange...She is not qualified for SOS.
When the only tool you have is a hammer, all your problems look like nails.
Old white guys have three strikes against them:
1. They are old
2. They are white
3. They are guys
None of these are politically protected classes in 0bama’s Amerika.
Any person who is stupid enough to go on national tv, five times in one day, and spout lies, just because they were told to do so, is not qualified to hold any position of such stature as the Secretary of State.
I will have to hear joe say this - can’t believe he would step so low to say that.
Someone needs to start seriously investigating why Scarborough really left office.
Someone needs to start seriously investigating why Scarborough really left office.
The first thing they do is play the race card, no matter the person’s skin color. If they put up an Asian Communist to run instead of Obama, we all would’ve been racist against Asians for opposing the person, rather than black people.
First Law of Liberalism: If you aren’t a progressive secularist anything negative you say about either a progressive secularist or a progressive secularist idea is racist, sexist, or intolerant. This Law trumps all others.
Let’s Make a Deal!
Hey Morning Joe (and all the rest of the MSM), Republicans will give Susan Rice (The “Woman of Color”) a free pass just as soon as ALL of you are replaced by “Colored People” (is that the current PC term to cover “Women of Color”, “Men of Color” and “Confused as to their Gender Beings of Color”?)
You can staff Morning Joe with Cynthia McKinney, Cornel West, The Being Formerly Known as Prince, Al Sharpton, Jesse, whomever.
We don’t watch anyway.
Clay Matthews Illustrates RINO Joe Scarborough's Definition of Racism | |
Non-Racist | Racist |
Just federalizing what has been known in working level corporate America for decades. You can’t expect black employees at any level of private employment or government employment to have any work expectations to meet. If you do, then you are racist!
You are supposed to not hold them to any targets or expectations and then be ready to promote them on demand!
I think we need a new word to call “us” when we engage in sexism (criticizing a female) who happens to be black (racism).
How about “rexism” and “rexists”?
Sorry Joe, its not about her race—its what she said. This old rusty race card is not in the least bit applicable here. You are becoming Chris Matthews where everything is a dog whistle for racism.
