Whenever I have attended any patriotic assemblies and the host asks any veterans in the audience to stand, and be recognized I am always saddened that there are only a very few us. And considering that the assemblies consists of those persons going to a patriotic function it is even worse for the general population as a whole.

Take it as a sign that you did your job well. A world war has not broken out in over 67 years.Thanks to you and other vets for your service.

Much of today’s U.S. society does not respect the military and those that disrespect our military men and women are increasing in numbers.
