Its an Obama world. Dr. Barbara Bellar posted this epic rant back in August during her campaign for Illinois State Senator. Obamacare Summed Up in One Sentence

Tonight, Dr. Barbara Bellar told Greta Van Susteren that despite a very impressive record, she lost her job for opposing Obamacare

A bit OT, Siamese Rescue, being a cat lover, I just had to notice. I just lost my half Snowshoe, Whitey, last month. She did look like a purebred though. BTW, when Obama came on the TV, she hissed and growled and swatted him.
It is a mistake to assume that 'freeedom of speech' means that 'anyone gets to say whatever they want whenever they want'.
That is not what the first amendment says. The first amendment says, paraphrasing:
'Anyone gets to say whatever they want whenever they want without reprisal from the government'.
Yes, I already know that there is no bill of rights. The bill of rights is, at best, a bill of privileges. That does't take away anything that I said above.
I woud have liked to see the guy’s face when you told him this.
She!
Read the story! She!
The new Hitler Youth. Marvelous.

The doctors life story is quite amazing.

I corrected myself in a previous message. My bad.
I noticed your tag line, and understand EXACTLY where you are coming from...I try to get mention of ‘Siamese Rescue’ out there as best I can in the hopes that the right people will see it and provide a home for these kitties...I have two from SR, two that I rescued from the ‘Green Mile’ in Tennessee, and there are three ‘local cats’ that live in my garage...they were abandoned by neighbors (spit) who couldn’t be bothered with them anymore. I admire Whitey’s attitude re: Zero...my cats have never seen him, fortunately; so I have no idea whether they would hiss or not.
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
I figure it is a great opportunity for investing in some first rate medical facilities in the Caiman Islands.
EXACTLY what I was thinking...
“There is a fifteen year in the family who is generally very quiet UNLESS you criticize Zero...then he goes off on you like a roman candle. Wonder what else they are teaching him in school? He will graduate at the top of his class in Brownshirt Tatics...”
There was a miserable little bastard who was held up as a folklore like example in the Soviet Union, who ratted out his parents to the Cheka and got them sent off to the gulag. I can’t remember his name but he was officially praised as a hero and held up as an example.
Yes, I was thinking about an old riddle that exposed thinking of doctors as men and nurses as women.
I have an uncomfortable feeling that the same thing will be happening in this country; sooner rather than later. I avoid family gatherings like the plague. :-)
Thou shalt not...or else. There’s a new “messiah” in town!
Here is the story. I didn’t remember it quite correctly, and it is far more convoluted than I remembered:

A very interesting foot note at the end, as the little snitch is rehabbed by a familiar figure:
“Increasingly, Pavlik was regarded with contempt, pity, or at best indifference: his life started to be forgotten. However, in 2003, the Otkrytoe obshchestvo foundation, sponsored by George Soros, awarded a grant of $7000 to finance the reopening of the museum, this time with a display placing the life of Pavlik in the context of the collectivisation campaign, and of the political repression that it represented.”
