On November 9, 2012 the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) issued a press release indicating that Workers at the Transportation Security Administration made history today when they voted to ratify the first-ever collective bargaining agreement at the agency. The agreement between the American Federation of Government Employees and TSA was ratified with a vote of 17,326-1,774.
The AFGE represents over 650,000 employees of the federal government. It is the largest union for non-postal federal employees and the largest union for D.C. workers who report directly to the mayor.
Brian Koenig writes that the AFGE coerces members to fork over between $14 and $16 out of each paycheck, providing the organization with up to $16 million more in revenue per year. Portions of this influx of money will go to subsidizing Democratic election campaigns and funding a number of liberal agendas.

I’ll ask her when I talk to her the next time. If so, they’re going to be a LOT of angry people. (The majority of them are not fools. They know this is not good for them.)
With these two tools, the unions can forge the signatures of enough employees to force the unionization of any company without the consent of anybody.
This time next year, we'll all be paying union dues to the Democrat campaign finance slush fund.
BOHICA! Uncle Sam wants to know, What's in YOUR wallet?!
Do you think card check can be implemented by EO?
You don’t?
If it could be implemented by EO, why didn’t it happen already? I know the bill was filibustered in the Senate.
Besides, who's going to stop him?
Boner?
We were screwed by the very existence of the TSA from day one.
Not that unionizing them doesn’t make matters worse in a lot of ways, but the line was crossed years ago.
Looks like every day for the next 4 years will be a glut of bad news. From our Prez who flies off when business needs to get done....
unionized govt agency
yea... they won’t have accelerated salary paths and massive federally (taxpayer) funded pensions

When the TSA was established weren’t we promised that it wouldn’t be unionized ? Didn’t they say they wanted the TSA to be flexible and unencumbered by union work rules so they could meet any security challenge quickly? How many acts of terrorism have they prevented anyway? Pat down old ladies and babies but wave Muslims on through because if we profile them their feelings could be hurt.
“If you want to get there on time, drive.”
Last month my wife & I drove to Ottawa, Canada from South Carolina for a wedding. Easy scenic drive, two days each way. Nice time in a European foreign country.
Except we got singled out & our car was searched at the border by US customs. I am convinced our both being deployed veterans & retired military didn’t help.
Oh, God please, encourage them to have a work stoppage. I pray fervently that we could all have an opportunity to personally express our opinions of their fine work as they walk a picket line.
