The Republican Party has been doing a lot of hand-wringing and finger-pointing since the presidential election. Half the conservative columnists and bloggers say the GOP lost because it overemphasized social issues such as abortion and gay marriage. The other half says the party didn't emphasize them enough. And everyone denounces Project ORCA, the campaign's attempt to turn out voters via technology.
But I've got a suggestion for cutting short the GOP angst: Sarah Palin for president in 2016.

For whatever reason she quit, she still quit.
The RNC did help with some of her legal expenses.
So, to sum it up, she was elected as governor, no one drafted her, she chose to seek the office.
She quit the office.
She waited until the last moment to let her supporters know she wasn't going to enter the primaries
She isn't running for anymore offices-get over it.
I didn't know losing money was a reason to quit an elected office.

Exactly how does one carry on with the business of taking care of a large family including very young children (let alone governing a state), when one is being rendered bankrupt with legal expenses from an endless stream of politically instigated law suites, and legal expenses that are several times higher than one’s salary from being governor?

The initial payment was for Palin to do several different fundraising events and sign fundraising letters for the RNC, Mr. Pullen said. He said the RNC has committed to sending the Anchorage law firm a second check of an equal amount, which would bring the total to $257,037.70."

Did Gov Christie “make a fool” of all those powerful forces in the GOP who wanted him to run, after he failed to run too? What of all the numerous potential candidates for various offices in the past decades who considered running for office but then on further consideration decided not to?
When are you going to get it into your head that whether anyone runs for office or not is entirely up to them and their family. Supporters/pundits etc can only wish/hope that those they support run. If they decide not to run, that is fine. No one is “making a fool” of anybody.
