The reason Palin was so active in the 2010 elections was because the RNC agreed to pay half of her legal bills in exchange for her campaigning for Republicans.

RNC pays some Palin legal bills in exchange for help Ex-governor aids fundraising

"RNC Treasurer Randy Pullen, who co-signed the check with RNC Chief Administrative Officer Boyd Rutherford, said Mr. Rutherford told him the check was in exchange for Mrs. Palins help with RNC Chairman Michael S. Steele to raise money for midterm election campaigns.
The initial payment was for Palin to do several different fundraising events and sign fundraising letters for the RNC, Mr. Pullen said. He said the RNC has committed to sending the Anchorage law firm a second check of an equal amount, which would bring the total to $257,037.70."

You have it ass backwards. Sarah Palin was actively involved in, endorsed and campaigned for several GOP candidates in 2010 (who she helped win elections, including Susan Martinez and Nikki Haley btw), NOT because the RNC agreed to pay her anything in advance. She was actively involved in campaigning for GOP candidates long before the RNC came up with any checks(which were for the main part for fund raising activities on behalf of the RNC).
The operative phrase from the offending post being “The reason Palin was so active in the 2010 elections was because the RNC agreed to pay half of her legal bills in exchange for her campaigning for Republicans.
That was clearly NOT the case. She was campaigning for GOP candidates long before any offers from the RNC. She did NOT campaign for GOP candidates because of any financial offers.
