VAN NUYS - A man confronted by two would-be masked robbers while he walked his dog in Van NuysThursday night fired shots at the suspects, who ran off, police said. | » POLICE NEWS
The victim said he was walking his dog near his home in the 6700 block of Noble Avenue, near Vanowen Street, around 9:15 p.m. when he was confronted outside his house by two men wearing ski masks, said Lt. Abel Parga of the Van Nuys Station.
It was unclear if the man was already armed at the time or somehow armed himself after being confronted, but he fired shots at the suspects, who ran off, Parga said.
One suspect may have wielded a baseball bat, Parga said.
The suspects never entered the man's home and the victim was not injured, Parga said.
It was unclear if either suspect was struck by gunfire, Parga said.
Guns SAVE Lives!
“The suspects never entered the man’s home and the victim was not injured, Parga said.”
Obvious to me, that response was from one of the bed wetter liberal newspeople who don’t believe someone should defend themselves if confronted during a simple redistribution of wealth movement.
In that area, I will bet that he already had the gun on him.
It is NOW harder to get a CCW, but he may have had one for years.
In any event, many Californians have their guns and are smart enough NOT to register them.
Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
Would you hold my dog while I go get something? Thanks.
