Sen.-elect Ted Cruz believes Mitt Romney got a little too close to Barack Obama in the third presidential debate.
Im pretty certain Mitt Romney actually French-kissed Barack Obama, Cruz said in a speech at the Federalist Societys annual conference Friday.
Cruz said that conservatives failed to make their case to the American people, leaving Romney no choice but to move toward the president. We didnt win the argument, we didnt even make the argument throughout much of 2012, Cruz said.
But in the first debate, he argued, that changed.
It was the one time we actually contested ideas, presented two viewpoints and directions for the country, he said. And then inevitably, there are these mandarins of politics, who give the voice: Dont show any contrasts. Dont rock the boat. So by the third debate, Im pretty certain Mitt Romney actually French-kissed Barack Obama.
I have no doubt that there is a focus group somewhere of undecided Ohio voters who have been living in a cave for the last 30 years, who decided they liked that, Cruz continued. Dont show any disagreement whatsoever with the president. Dont rock the boat. Just be a nice guy.

As I heard his words, onyx, what he said could have come from the lips of the great Sarah Palin! She, of course, is the master of plain, honest speaking from the heart. It sure seems that Ted Cruz was educated well by Mrs. Palin.
I know the media hid Baracks flaws and idiocy, but Republicans did not go to the polls in the numbers they did for McCain even.
Agreed.
I am not a Romney fan, but the ONLY thing that lost this election was FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“No thanks. Im disgusted with republicans tearing each other down.”
Not me, he NAILED IT. Romney figured the election was over after the first debate, so he played it safe, figuring that he’d coast to the White House.
That’s the difference with a moderate - Reagan kept the heat on Carter right up to election day - he took NOTHING for granted.
Ansell we now have the same crap we had four years ago. To make it worse Obama gets to pick the judges. Go on and on about Romney if you must but he would have been ten times better then Obama.
Now maybe in your world all is right no matter who’s in charge. But in mine its not. I’d rather live with the mushy middle then hard core leftists. Now stop picking scabs and move on.
Yes, I agree with the newly elected Senator from Texas, not the lefty loser from Massachusetts, if conservatives don’t surround and drown out Romney, then he will become the figure head leader of the left wing of the GOP, against the Reagan wing of the GOP, Reagan, the man and politics that Romney despised.
Why didn’t you ping post 12 to your plea to not discuss Romney?
Except Romney was right, other than that he had no idea that Obama would fix the vote machines. I wonder how he feels now, knowing that he won, and yes he knows it, but Obama took the election. That has got to sting big time.
What are the upper layer of Republicans in charge going to do now that they must all realize that the fix is on. Can they do anything about it, or will they still be too stupid to come to terms with the fact that cheating is the real problem, countless forms of it? If they actually come to terms with this, it will be amazing. The big question is, what will they do about it, if at this late point there is anything that can be done about it? We all need to stop the infighting and blaming and try to concentrate on getting a handle on the bottom line problem that plagues us all, RINOs and real Conservatives, which is countless stolen elections.
I agree fraud was a huge in this election, but I still blame Romney much more. A week or so ago I posted 10 things that cost Romney the election, and the biggest was his high-tech, computerized, centralized, Boston-run, get out the vote program (ORCA), which totally crashed, had no backup, and left the Republicans with a zero get-out-the-vote effort.
Lots of other things too, like Governor Christie giving him a stage after the hurricane, etc...
