Why should the workers control this situation?
Because Hostess agreed to let them when they signed a union agreement. Hostess shouldn't be able to back out of a contract due to a strike. They brought this on themselves - both sides are guilty.

In bankruptcy, the company is able to restructure contracts, with the approval of the judge. The judge approved, but the workers went on strike anyway. Screw them.
